Turkey has announced a new law that will regulate all cryptocurrency activities starting in October. This law is intended to strengthen investor rights but also to create the possibility to take action against illegal activities in the crypto environment. Critics of the government accuse the plan of targeting the opposition and minorities in Turkey but also worldwide. The government, on the other hand, testifies that the project is based on EU and U.S. law and essentially serves to be able to levy taxes and protect consumer interests.

I think the critics might not trust the government and they feel the government are doing these just to actually tax crypto currency more and others , hopes the government regulates for benefit of others

yeah thats true, look I think many coverage of Turkey, specially on political topics, in Europe and North America is quite biased. I was looking for another point of view and could find a statement of a high official around this reports about planned regulations.
Unfortunately, the turkish Government hasn't a big track record of doing things well. Therefore my trust in the authorities there is limited. I hope they surprise.

The only way the regulation plan of taxation would not be effective ,is if they dont have records and tracking of peoples investment and others since they cant know who invest in crypto or not, i also dont trust because some authorities are corrupt and many dont care for their citizens

Well i would like to see how they can execute their plan... It's a good thing if it's for the security of investors so they can arrest scammers and frauds

I really hope its their best laid plan to do so and regulate crypto exchange platform by giving them license and others to prevent scam exchange platform

I hope so, if they do that they can give more security to traders. Even if they tax the exchangers in their country i think that's better than putting money on scammers

There just has been one to many criticism against crypto this year, turkey gas added to the list, I hope they don't end up fully banning line china

Yeah if they tax them, those exchange platform would want to do all they could to be legit ,since the government might be monitoring their operation

I hope they regulate them for the benefits of the citizens too. It is not a wonder that people are worried about the cryptocurrencies being taxed. This might happen for sure when the government takes control of the cryptocurrencies.

Many cases of some government have seen helping people are for their gains and others , if they dont benefit they might not look toward regulation

I think it is very bad for Turkish people as time pass people need theses think and it is very necessary to get knowledge about cryptocurrency and investment in it so government needs spread it and make it popular.
Yeah it's truly necessary to learn about the existence of cryptocurrency , considering the benefits and other factors it contributes to the growth on people investment and the employment it generates
