@JoeyB The current way you are writing wont bring you much visitors. Not many people are googling things like "Been a while" or "reasoning".
Take more time to write articles, and try to put yourself in the shoes of the visitors. What are they looking for? What do they need? How can you help them fulfill those needs?
Your main goal is getting referrals, but you wont get many if you cant give something back to your visitors.
They need help finding the good information, and the best ways to earn.
It would be better to write about the sites you use, and make detailed posts on how to earn the fastest ways on those sites.
Give tips and tricks so to speak.
For example, when you talk about swagbucks its better to make a seperate post, and do research on how to earn the most on Swagbucks. Detail those ways to earn in your blog so others know how to use Swagbucks efficiently.
Few things you could write about when talking about Swagbucks would be:
-How can someone earn on Swagbucks?
-How to redeem money from the site?
-What sites support earning on Swagbucks?
-Why is it such a good site?
-How much did you earn?
-What are all the ways to earn on Swagbucks?
-Is there an affiliate program on Swagbucks?
As you can see there is much to write about and you can certainly make a great post if you take some time to sit down and make a step by step guide. Always remember to take a look at your own content from a visitor stand point so you are not wasting time writing content nobody will feel like reading.
Use plenty of images, videos and try to make your posts look pleasing on the eyes.
When done you should end with "skyscraper content".
This is content that is made with the visitor in mind, but is also very good for your rankings in Google.
I also recommend you change your theme before you integrate Adsense (congratulations by the way!) so you dont run into problems later on when you need to switch themes and every widget breaks.
All in all its good to see you continuing to work on your site, and you should keep up the effort to learn.
Don't be afraid to do anything wrong since its your first website and with every mistake you learn a little bit. This is how I learned a lot too and I am still learning a lot.
