Follow Along Trying to earn referrals through my blog

So I have decided to start a blog about my journey/experiences on using survey sites. Just started it today and hoping to see what I can generate in referrals. I'll do my best to keep you guys updated weekly on how well its working out for me. If you would like to check it out click here and I would love to get everyone's feedback. and if this is in the wrong spot to post I apologize.

So I haven't had any luck yet getting people to sign up for survey sites under me as there referrals. This is definitely tougher than it seems, but I'm going to stick with it and keep adding posts and my experiences on it. Hopefully eventually I'll be able to generate traffic to the site and then hopefully people may try and do some surveys. Cheers everyone

First off, good on you for trying to expand your income. Having referrals allows you to get passive income. That is the goal of every user on this site!

Second, you really need to improve the site.

In short:
You need more articles, and optimize your site for SEO. Do a quick google for "moz seo guide" and read through the whole pdf. It will help you understand how Google ranks websites, and how to improve your website so you get ranked.

Also if you insist on free hosting I recommend using blogger instead of wordpress since wordpress adds elements to your website that are bad for your readers. For example they add a banner that says that people need to click for their own website, which can take viewers away from your website.

Also take a look for advertising to add to your website, so when people decide not to sign up you still earn money from advertising.

Add a mailinglist (mailchimp is free and easy to use) so you can mail readers when you made a new article or to promote offers.

Also, remember that when you promote popular sites to people that already earn online they are probably already signed up to those sites. Review more sites that are unknown and you will see a raise in referrals.

You can use BMF to find new sites to review.

Im not ridiculously good at getting traffic either but you can take a look at my blog to get some inspiration.

Keep writing, testing new materials and ways of advertising and you will succeed.

This will take you a lot of time and effort. But nothing in life is free.

Goodluck with earning.

Awesome thank you, I'll be sure to check it all out. Looks like I have a lot of work to do but hopefully once I do i can earn a little more passive income.

So I have taking your advice and I decided to start a brand new blog on blogger. Put some content on it but still have a long way to go with it. You can check it our here. Now I have to work on getting good quality content and visitors and I'm even contemplating having other people be guest writers or something on my blog to help drive views.

Hey, love your site and it's definitely inspirational, hopefully one day we could work together to write a piece for both sites

so quick update started a new blog with blogger, just applied to monetize with google adsense, dont have high hopes for that yet but i figured it wouldnt hurt to at least try, and i havent gotten any referrals yet but i am working on having better content and posts on my blog

So i haven't been able to update lately here about my blog, but at the same time I haven't been able to update my blog either. I have however been approved for Google Adsense so after the holidays my goal is to try and set some time a side each day to work on my blog and try to get referrals

i am using free hosting, using blogger for now, the hardest part about blogging is content and getting the traffic to view your page, once i get past that hopefully i can get more referrals for surveys and yes currently i am only focusing on surveys

Blogger is completely free but if you have an account with hostinger I recommend you stick with them (since you probably also bought a domain name).
Install Wordpress on your hostinger plan, and update it with plugins such as Yoast to improve the SEO. You also need various other plugins that improve loading times.
When you get denied by google adsense look back on the content and see if your site is good enough to ask for money from advertisers.
If your site is cluttered, empty or has other errors they wont approve you.
Try posting your site in the site review section so we can give you input and help you get approved for Adsense.

@JoeyB The current way you are writing wont bring you much visitors. Not many people are googling things like "Been a while" or "reasoning".
Take more time to write articles, and try to put yourself in the shoes of the visitors. What are they looking for? What do they need? How can you help them fulfill those needs?
Your main goal is getting referrals, but you wont get many if you cant give something back to your visitors.
They need help finding the good information, and the best ways to earn.
It would be better to write about the sites you use, and make detailed posts on how to earn the fastest ways on those sites.
Give tips and tricks so to speak.
For example, when you talk about swagbucks its better to make a seperate post, and do research on how to earn the most on Swagbucks. Detail those ways to earn in your blog so others know how to use Swagbucks efficiently.
Few things you could write about when talking about Swagbucks would be:
-How can someone earn on Swagbucks?
-How to redeem money from the site?
-What sites support earning on Swagbucks?
-Why is it such a good site?
-How much did you earn?
-What are all the ways to earn on Swagbucks?
-Is there an affiliate program on Swagbucks?

As you can see there is much to write about and you can certainly make a great post if you take some time to sit down and make a step by step guide. Always remember to take a look at your own content from a visitor stand point so you are not wasting time writing content nobody will feel like reading.
Use plenty of images, videos and try to make your posts look pleasing on the eyes.
When done you should end with "skyscraper content".
This is content that is made with the visitor in mind, but is also very good for your rankings in Google.
I also recommend you change your theme before you integrate Adsense (congratulations by the way!) so you dont run into problems later on when you need to switch themes and every widget breaks.

All in all its good to see you continuing to work on your site, and you should keep up the effort to learn.
Don't be afraid to do anything wrong since its your first website and with every mistake you learn a little bit. This is how I learned a lot too and I am still learning a lot.

I think people get more attracted towards blog that they can relate to instantly like movies, travelling, sports , online income etc.
I haven't seen your blog yet but will go through it soon.

This are one of the best tip i ever read. Even this post you share is a great example itself to make a content. I am honestly not good enough to write something. Is there any other way like for me to create a content whixh has a lesser or poor in creating a content.. Any niche for a website you can recommend can do for poorer guy like me in english.. I hope you get what i mean.

this is great advice for me, thank you, I never really thought about looking at the person who is visiting my blog perspective or point of view. I'll be sure to keep this in mind as i continue to progress through

I think you need to add more reviews on your website. You only have listed 3 websites and there are dozens more who are legit and paying.
