Trezor Reviews.jpg

Trezor Wallet is one of the oldest, cheapest and battle-tested hardware wallet available that support a wide range of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.

Hardware wallets are special kind of devices which are designed to securely store users crypto credentials on the device thereby ensuring that users fund are safe from issues arising from using a tradition software or exchange wallet. Because Hardware wallets are mostly offline and do not require a username or email to set up, this makes them less prone to hacks from viruses, phishing etc.

Since Hardware wallet is mostly offline, one will require the use of a computer with internet connection to in order to make any transaction. Most Hardware wallets provide companion apps in order to ease the process of using a hardware wallet to make transactions.

What made Trezor Hardware Wallet popular amount cryptocurrency users is the company behind it. Trezor Hardware Wallet was created by SatoshiLabs, a pioneer cryptocurrency company founded in 2013 and is responsible for popular crypto projects like Slush Minning Pool and CoinMap.

There are currently two variants of Trezor hardware wallet.

Pros Of Using An Hardware Wallet
1. Security: Hardware wallets are special kind of devices which primary function is to secure user crypto credentials in the most secure way possible. Most hardware wallet manufacturer makes use of battle-tested technologies used by financial companies which makes your wallet less vulnerable to hacks.
2. Best Way Of Storing Large Crypto Asset: Due to the level of security hardware wallet possesses, it is much more advisable to store large crypto asset on a hardware wallet (also known as a cold wallet).

Cons of Using Hardware Wallet
1. Vulnerable To Human Error: Hardware wallets are not immune to human mistakes and can be misplaced, stolen or damaged. Although most hardware wallet manufacturers like Trezor allow users to set a password in order to prevent unauthorized access.
2. Costly To Replace: The cost of replacing a missing or damaged hardware wallet is high since it requires you to buy a new one.

What's your opinion about this wallet? share it
Planning to have one , pretty soon! Its the right time to have a Trezor and the future is bitcoin.

I never heard of this wallet before not until you posted the site on forum. I mostly used coins.ph as my wallet on my bitcoin transaction online. I also stored bitcoin on this stable bitcoin exchange company in the Philippines and also for getting my funds into real cash. Love this site

First time I hear about ledger, how much it cost?

The Ledger Nano S is about 58.00 € from Ledger Wallet directly, I purchased mine from Amazon for about $90 USD.

Ledger Nano S supports more cryptocurrencies than Trezor and I've heard it has a better onboard crypto-chip, but I cannot confirm that. I like that the Ledger can pass as a USB flash drive.

i will trey this one. if its good eough for the adm. here is good enough for me. Thanks for posting here.. there are so many sites out there trying to scam us these days ..

I'm also trying this hardware in the future when I store a lot of bitcoins. Glad I was introduced with this one and I'm hoping to be a long term investor of bitcoins. Apparently, I'm using online wallets for my Bitcoins as my Bitcoins are not big enough and I guess these wallets are secure also.

I will be honest, I was reviewing both Ledger and Trezor, and I find Trezor to be more secure overall. Currently I use Airbitz as my wallet, as you hold the passcode, but eventually I will move over to Trezor as my main wallet. I like the multi-use of the company. You can use on the computer and you have the hardware to accompany it. As my Forex investments grow, I think it will be safer to host my money on cold storage.

This should be a good one since it coming from Mr B ,i am sure he must done little background check, i will love o have the wallet if has low transaction fee and faster too

I haven't tried this as of yet and hopefully will try it soon. It does look pretty nice and secure and have very nice reviews. I'll try to look at it more and hopefully it's best for Indian members as I don't think most wallets are compatible with us.

I find the hardware wallets costly and for cold storage of my coins, I prefer to use multiple paper wallets instead. They're free and you can keep lots of them. In case one is damaged or compromised, I still have my coins split into other wallets.

2fa codes are a good cheap alternative certainly not up to what these wallets can do but definitely no one can access your wallet without these codes , local bitcoins used to provide a list of codes in past .. for now i think they do it as well

UPDATE

Trezor wallet has introduced new update, these updates includes that Trezor now supports Cardano (ADA) , including the feature of staking. Multiple other features are also added to the wallet.
However, current updates are not supporting Cardano smart contracts, but they are trying with different options for it.

PS This is only for Trezor Suit wallet.

I would have liked to purchase one, but the issue in Latin America is the price of these devices. Shamefully high, compared to how much Europeans spend to purchase one. My Italian forum colleagues can have a trezor for 70 euros (more or less 75 dollars), while we must spend around 1000 reais (more or less 215 dollars). As my bitcoin stock don't overcome 250 reais, unfortunately the purchasing won't makes no sense for me. And the trezor prices in Argentina are even worse: the Model T trezor costs around 75 thousands pesos, that's more or less 657 dollars.
