Hello to everyone,

I had an idea to organize a humanitarian gaming tournament in the city where I study. I have some organizational skills and experience, but I never organized a tournament similar to this. Also, i have a solid knowledge about most of the "popular" games, so I have an idea how to make a bracket etc.

However, i would to hear some tips about organization. On which things I should have my attention ? For you, what would be the concept of the good tournament ? How to gather some sponsors and which brands should I ask for sponsorship ? What would be a good name for this tournament ? (English would be perfect). Will donate some FC for some good tips :)

Hey it's funny i just asked a similar question haha, well i asked about money though, well anyways i think sponsors you should go with local companies or stores, as that can help you get some local presence, as for name i can't say for sure unless i know more details about your games or company..etc but generally any name can work, just go with "Gamer's Unite" or something ??

Hahaha, i just realized that, I haven't seen it until now. I agree with the sponsors part, but I really think that the name could be a key part in the puzzle. Because interesting name ---> more interest , at least I think so.

We have few folks around here who are holding the Fortnite and the PUBG events during the weekend. They usually have rounds of games and the winner are boosted to the next round. They have some specific amount listed for the entry. And they make sure to also get the sponsors. I think without sponsors it'd be difficult to cover the costs in general. So focus on getting the sponsors the rest can be arranged later.

Since you will atract gaming audience, contact some IT shops so they can advertise gaming computers, graphic cards. I think many of them will come since gamers are know as good clients.

it really needs some serious organization that you'll need huge time for it, also you'll have headache to reunite people in a specific timezone and let them agree on a schedule, i participated in a lot of time and i can tell the amount of stress and pain you get while organising it, not only that, but also you need a group of people for it

you can do Fifa and some arcade games like street fighters, maybe team games as League of Legends and CS Go and Dota
for sponsors you can ask Tech stores which are interested in gaming they will be glad to sponsor you I guess

It should be done in some stadium or something like that, because getting people online in the same time is kind of impossible due to the difference in the timezones

It should be done in a large easily assessed area so a lot of people can participate in the fun, it's not a bad idea to want to do something like this

Well I think you can always partner with local brands as well as have a theme for the competition, create awareness online and offline, share flyers and tell people to inform their friends.

I think you could run a tournament where users pays before participating , then at the end of the tournament the winner goes with a large sum

It actually depends because i have a lot of friends who have opened a tournament game but i think it was not done by the involvement of gaming company

It depends I have some people that have opened the tournament game, and them are doing good from the business but the tournament game requires company.

Organizing a tournament is good and it will impact lifes. Well about the name it depends on the category of the people you are organizing the tournament for, is it for secondary or high school students or college students, if it's for high school students you can call it "young minds Racer". Looking for sponsorship is to look for organizations ot individual who are interested in the tournament.

A friend of my husband organized an airsoft competition. Airsoft is the toy gun that used for game combat. The competition ran for 4 weeks. In the end the organizer lost money instead of earning. The expenses for the competition was too much because of the props and the people that would work for the games.

If you will want to start a gaming competition then I will advise that you should ensure the people who are going to be involved are doing their know your customer verification in order to avoid having two accounts. There should also be rules and regulation that is guiding the tournament.

I think that if youa re looking for a tournament to game there is a lot that needs to be considered however i think that the most important is a reliable and secure system because there is a lot of security risks and concerns when it comes to the gaming as well.

There are some organisations that have openly come up in the past to support this kind of project that you want to lunch. I advise that you should reach out to them for sponsorship if that is what you want and they will definitely respond. You can as well introduce an entry fee into the competition for anybody who wants to participate.
