The Inquisitr is a writing platform which pulled my interest some months ago. Personally, it took me about one month to join them because the process is very slow. First, I passed their Test 1 which included questions about general grammar, spelling and journalistic basement. It took me 20 minutes to pass it. My second step was to submit a sample news article, I could choose among several topics given. The last step was to pass their second long test (it took me 50 minutes), which required deep knowledge of linguistics, grammar, and journalistic aspects.

I signed a contract, and they invited me to a group on Skype, where all the managers and editors were ready to help me (not 24/7, they are not enough interested in us). A friendly atmosphere and fair working principles, as well as clear explanations of what I should do, are their pluses.

Answering the question if one can earn a living as a writer working for the Inquisitr, I would say that it is up to him. The Inquisitr requires your desire and professionalism. I know one woman from Florida who has 3 kids. She works full-time for the Inquisitr, and this is her own income.
I have been working for the Inquisitr for around one year and can say that if you have a certain freelance experience in writing, it is a nice place to dedicate much time to and expect quite a good income. If you write with mistakes or have no experience, do not waste your time. And be ready that the team is slow to reply to you.

Well, I think that even if one opens their website, it is already enough to see that they are legit, especially, looking at their rankings. Anyway, you are right, it is very easy to be blocked there, so I try to put all my efforts into my articles and be very careful. I doubt that I can create a new account once I am blocked. I used to work for Blasting News before and got good experience there. Moreover, it is important to share your articles to get traffic= money.
I found something that can be interesting for others: certificates that I got when passing their 2 tests and a piece from a contract (I do not think that I have a right to post all my contract pages here). They are a serious place

I think all of those writing sites do not require extensive knowledge in grammar as those forums and myLot considers posts with grammatical errors.

In this case, you should be a legit writer with skills of proper punctuation, grammar, sentence structure etc.

I can't speak from my own experience. But I have a friend who is an excellent freelance writer. I noticed the she was publishing articles for The Inquisitr and then I noticed at her blog she published a post saying why she was no longer writing for The Inquisitr. She basically said: 'Too much time. Too little money.'
