There is a site, similar to PostLoop called TheForumWheel, which will pay you to post threads and replies to threads in third-party forums.

For content creators: You can sign up at the Forum Wheel, but you must post 10 grammatically-sound, well-formed posts in their "Gateway" forum before you can start posting in third-party forums and earning money.

Each post you make on a third party forum is worth 1 credit ($.05). You can withdraw your funds at any time via Paypal. You can also enter competitions to win a jackpot prize by spending the credits you earn on tickets in the prize draw ( although this is not often used by creators).

For forum owners: You can sign up and buy a set amount of credits which can be used to pay content creators for their threads or replies.

There are fewer forums currently available on TFW than are available on Postloop, but they always seem to be in credit, and there is one forum on TFW that pays twice, once from TFW and once from the forum itself!

Exactly what happened to me.

There was someone arguing somewhere (reddit maybe or even here? I don't remember) that they probably make those evaluations using automatic programs? I don't know how it works but could be an explanation for the difference. Either way, I'm glad to know that you had a nice rating on both ;)

No, the ratings are done by the administrator of the site and by the owners of the forums. At least, they are by The Forum Wheel...I am unsure about Post Loop. They review your post and give a rating based on what they see. An automated system would only be able to rate you based on grammar, length, and spelling. Content is vital to the rating, so they have to be rated by a live person. And your rating changes as the owners of the forums you are writing for continue to rate you based on your post to their sites. If your ratings are too low to get a forum in The Forum Wheel, contact KenBrace who is the owner and ask him how you can increase your rating so that you can qualify for a forum. At the moment, as far as I know, at your current rating... you should qualify for the forums that are there right now. If you can sign up for even one, as you are posting for them your rating will increase if they give you good ratings.

OK update on the ForumWheel, I was on it yesterday, and there were a number of forums listed and some of the sites were allowing up to 20 posts, however, today I went back to it, and there were only 3 forums listed with only 3 posts per person allowed. So, I don't know, I guess in order to make any money there you have to "strike it right."

My 4.1 rating on Postloop is actually not good enough for 70% or so of the forums that are available. TFW might have just three forums listed but I at least qualify for all of them. I still edit my list and try not to subscribe to a forum just because it is available as I want to keep up my rating with relevant content on the various forums

Yeah, there were two sites on there that suddenly dropped off though they had credits available. Just give it a day or two they may be back on again. Sites come and go when you are dealing with post exchanges. Typically they are still new sites and so funds are limited for them and they list themselves when their funds allow them to. Other times it is because they are having site issues or something. You kind of just have to keep checking back. Post Loop has the same issue on some of their sites. I am registered with several sites that will disappear for a week on the list and then suddenly pop back up.

I want to come back to a point I made earlier about posting on forums relevant to your interests. Even if the forum is offline for a few days keep on posting. This will help you to increase your post count when the forum goes live on PL/TFW again as you will have content to build on and a continuous presence on the relevant forum.

Thanks a lot for the explanation! ;)

To me, this site is just a lesser alternative to Postloop. If you can't get approved in the latter, you ought to try ForumWheel because they're not as stringent as Postloop's staff. Not only the amount of forums you can post at is lower, but the pay can't even come at par... they pay a flat $0.05 per post, whereas the pay on Postloop varies based on different factors. In other words, it's - mildly - better. What I like about ForumWheel better is that they don't have a minimum cash out threshold, you are free to even claim $0.05, whereas on Postloop it's $5.

Forum Wheel is a pretty little sister to Post Loop, that's for sure. And as it is created by a former PostLoop admin, it employs almost the exact same rules and regulations that post loop does in its website. So you'll be in a really familiar environment if you're a PostLoop user. The only thing that's a bit off-putting is that it still has very little forum pages to subscribe to and earn from, which makes the earning options very... limited.

Yeah that is a bit of a problem, the owner of the Forum Wheel has been trying to gain more forums but being the PostLoop has been around longer, they sort of cornered the market there. In time, there may be an increase in the forums available....but for now, it is a bit up in the air.

It's really sad that The Forum Wheel is in the doldrums once in a while but I'm sure the admin is doing his best to acquire more clients. I am not in The Forum Wheel but I know what is happening there. And I have read a lot of positive reviews about The Forum Wheel than what I had read about PostLoop. But I am wishing both sites well because they serve the writers with opportunities to earn.

You're absolutely right about that. PostLoop is where the forums are at. And it'll probably take the ForumWheel quite a bit of time till they get half as big as PostLoop.
I really hope that the ForumWheel gets some clients, because as much as I want to work with them, the earning options are really severely limited as of now.

Give it time, I'm sure they will. The owner works hard to get sites available, but he also has a life outside of TFW that takes a large chunk of his time. Given time and work, it will grow.

Just as a follow up - I attempted to cash out what little amount of points I had in my TFW account - 7 credits. Not sure how much that would amount to. Anyway, entered my details and hit withdraw. It has been 5 days and not a peep. This might be a dud or there might just be no warning about the cashout minimum, but either way it looks like I've lost the points I had built up.

I doubt site is not legit, I was an advertiser once, site is good but needs more posters and forums.

The forum wheel is another great deal. It's similar to postloops and it's not that hard to join. All you have to do is create an account at the forum wheel then you link it to your gateway account. You then subscribe to the gateway and make ten posts and wait to be approved. Make sure your posts are unique and interesting. I was recently approved and am loving my job.

Glad to hear that buddy!

Yes you are right, The Forum Wheel is just like the then Postloop only that it has fewer forums relatively. A post on a third party forum attracts a minimum pay of 5 cents. The site is one unique place to work and have a great experience. The admin pays promptly.

It's good that he pays fast, btw are there other alternatives to theforumwheel?

If anyone knows more, then feel free to add. Note, I got some of these from a list forum posting websites, but oddly enough, many of them had gone out of business or had switched to a different niche.

Note, there are many more out there, feel free to add.

I joined PostLoop and the Forum Wheel at about the same time. Back then, TFW only had 1 or 2 active forums. I'm glad I stayed with TFW because months later, Postloop would close its doors. Most PL site owners are now with TFW. I discovered both sites though another forum posting site, the Forum Coin. What I like about the Forum Wheel is the simplicity of the interface which is not much different from Postloop. I think it has a simpler rating system. My posts are also worth more at TFW than they were at PL.
