As per Inforum, Representative Nathan Toman from North Dakota legislative body said that an"North Dakota coin" could help local businesses to weather this pandemic. He also said that despite being late to the game he still sees the potential future of such coin. Sadly, several Regulatory authorities soon put up resistance to this effort.

What I don't understand is if he is the one financing the project of creating the coin?. I guess the coin is likely gonna be a stable coin not a Crypto coin.

This is not surprise to me . cryptocurrency has been experiencing resistance in countries because the government are afraid of the potential of the coin .

I don't think he will be the one who's funding the crypto project. His proposal is still good for crypto exposure and shows that some politicians are okay with crypto.

So sad to here that there are regulations stopping the growth of the coin. For cryptocurrency exchange to spread well across the globe ,more coins should be created .Strict rules are there to be followed and they should be enhanced to avoid scams.I think some years to come almost each country will be having there coin or so just like the currency.I don't advocate for that as for like btc ,it has set a good start for crptos with its easy ,fast and safe transactions.

The coins countries might be having in the near future will be digital stable coins not Crypto currencies, the awareness of Crypto currencies is on the rise I doubt if there is any country where Crypto is not know though some don't support it but they know about it .

When you say about cryptocurrency popularity, I am from Africa the huge population here doesn't know about but I know in the near future it will have spread.,

Sure significant number of people are yet to pick interest in it despite that they hear about it especially those active online or on the internet must have heard about bitcoin but careless to know more.

I guess such coin will strictly be known and used by them, so how does that give or receive any global impact? Steps that will help weather the pandemic should be global not just restricted to that particular area.
You are right. Many countries that are open to crypto are looking to create their own coins to weather the economic storm of the pandemic and to recover, but without it being traded globally, it will not have much of an impact. This is a very good point. I think for this to help it needs to be listed on a market that will allow it to be exchanged, as many will trade it if the price is as volatile as other crypto.

We've seen several countries day they are going to launch their own cryptocurrencies but so far no one has fone it. Lets see if they make it
If i am not mistaken earlier this year china rolled out a test for their own digital currency or their own crypto. I am not sure hw it faired in the market, but i think jsut after the pandemic hit globally china tried this venture.

China had been one of the first countries to "announce" they are going to create their own cryptocurrencies. Not sure about this but i think most of it is just speculations for now

Is it going to be ditalized stable coin or the other , I have even seen some similar coin like newyorkcity coin or the other that's just my observation

Well, I'm not faulting your assertion because it all about where you live but in Nigeria which is an African country have a lot of people now knowing and embracing crypto currency

Yeah I think it shouldn't be generalised because there are countries in Africa that takes crypto currency very serious and have many users

Sure in recent times I have read even here on a thread that African countries are really into crypto trading now and are seeking ways of legalizing for each country which isn't a bad idea

Despite how people are more interested in the use of crypto I have not seen when the government have start planning on legalising crypto

A lot of region's and countries are seeing the need of having their own crypto token in place and they are not relenting in having so I root for all those thinking along those lines

It is good for a country to have their own cryptocurrency because I feel that this will go a long way in trying to bridge the gap that exists between the traditional fiat currency and the crypto world and this can help with adoption.
