Yeah, I was quite surprised when I read that. I'm learning software development myself and I love reading facts about programming. So much to learn nowadays.Ada Lovelace was the first programmer. She developed an algorithm that would utilize Charles Babbage's analytical engine to compute bernoulli numbers.
such good information you provide for this thread, ada lovelace was the first programmer and a legendary woman I have ever heard before, her analytical ability was sharp to shine in programming field.Ada Lovelace was the first programmer. She developed an algorithm that would utilize Charles Babbage's analytical engine to compute bernoulli numbers.
No problem . If you guys like this kind of stuff, I can post more ^^ For entertaining purposes and knowledge purposes. Theres always something to learn.thanks for the information.

Interesting, I never knew the first programmer was a lady, I'm reading it for the first time.
There is this wonderful saying that goes like this; 'Anything a man can do, a woman can do better.' Good one for the ladies.
They are great in different fields, I also had one back then, she was my lecturer, a very good and brilliant professor. Though she was always kinda strict in her lectures but it was worth it anyway.I never underestimate women. They are equal to me.I personally had a female professor that was teaching me programming languages. I learnt so much from her.
You did not expect that ? Did you ? Its a fact that some companies tend to employ women programmers for some reason. I wonder is it because they think that they can do better job than men ? Its a funny thing, in my opinion we should be treated equalYop, this look great first prpogramer was a women ...Love That
I guess in some countries for a woman to be on a computer is really strange and a taboo. Im obviously talking about countries that are undeveloped.I don't know any examples but there are cases. Nowadays, more and more women are getting into the programming business.Wow! Nice one.
But how come the male are booming in the programming sector more than the female counterpart?
Programming is fun

Yeah all the stereotypes are ending so women can start working all jobs and men can work all jobs.It is actually a good thing that the stereotypes are ending...People are getting more modern than beforeMe too, really appreciated hearing this fact! @Cyberm3 I assume it is a traditional reason, same reason why there are more females in nursing than their male counterpart. Although I believe this is slowly beginning to change, many initiatives are now formed, for instance, GirlsWhoCode and others.
It really doesn't have to mean that the woman is the only human being that can be patient and organized. Its just a stereotype in my opinion, nothing else.Although there was a show/documentary on who is more smart men vs women and it proved that in some cases men are better and in some women are better.I treat both equally though XDIt is not a surprise why a woman was the first programmer because, in programming, you need to be organized and patient which is the basic character of a woman itself.
