The European Union, through the Irish Data Protection Commission, will begin its investigation on the case where 533 million of users' private data were breached and sold in the dark net. The Irish Data Protection Commission has published a statement on the case, saying that they will monitor the case closely and cooperating with all related authorities. Facebook has confirmed that they're also working closely with the commission to investigate the case.

Facebook need to do something about the privacy issues ,and those data been stolen needs to be checked real well and investigated to prevent it been used for illegal reasons

Well, it has always been known that our data that we put on the net are not safe.
However I don't think it's just a question of Facebook, but nowadays, especially for commercial purposes, almost everyone knows about us!
I see from the constant phone calls I receive!
Do you find a relevance with this?

That is awesome to know that an investigation is ongoing. It was many people's prayer that this investigation occurs and the cause known. I just hope that a solution is found and Facebook finally deals with these privacy issues.

It is kind of report is really putting a very bad image on Facebook and I just hope that they should be able to pull through it once and for all. It is very obvious that Facebook has done very little in the protection of it's online users privacy and that is why things like this are always been reported.

It is good that they are investigating this because there is a lot of people that make use of the social media facebook and therefore if they cannot come to the bottom of this then there will be a massive concern about people using this in the future.

The privacy issues is really affecting the operation of Facebook , because the users there that don't like the lack of privacy are not ready to adopt it more ,they are not interested in the platform , Facebook need to profer solution concerning the issue of privacy to make things more easier as usual I think , that's the only problem I see with Facebook for now

There is a lot o people that i know personally that have actually stopped using facebook and even whatsapp as well because of the new privacy laws that they have in the social media platform and therefore i think that this will affect the profitability.

The European investigation union investigating the users private data leak will to be investigated by the data protection agency commission, the private data that was leaked and sold in the dark net must be the hand work of the online hackers and scammers.
