New York City mayoral candidate Eric Adams defeated former presidential candidate Andrew Young in yesterday's Democratic primary. In a speech last month, Adams promised to turn New York into a Bitcoin hub if he won the election. Adams, a staunch supporter of Bitcoin, is likely to win if he wins the in-party election and becomes the Democratic nominee for mayor of New York, since the people of New York traditionally tend to be in the Democratic Party, and whoever is the candidate of this party should be considered the winner.

Well many people using it as a tactic to be honest , whatever seat they get what they do comes up next so too early to say anything at the moment to be honest actually

At least, in any case New York won't face the cryptocurrencies ban issue with such a candidate promoting the bitcoin, like it's happening to many countries whose governments are banning the cryptocurrencies one after another, forcing people to poverty (as cryptocurrencies became the only way to flee unemployment in various countries). USA is one of the best countries to earn and get the best benefits cryptocurrencies can offer.

Well, could it be because it was about someone involved with Bitcoin. maybe or maybe not it might just have been about the candidate that the people wanted and i5 was the one that had the knowledge of Bitcoin but whichever way I think the right man should be allowed to help the citizens and economy fare better

This is definitely a very good thing ,I think more candidate entering into political offices really mean a lot interms of Bitcoin development turnout ,glad the candidate won the election it's definitely adding more benefit instead of a disadvantage and would particularly contribute in making the economy of the state Bitcoin adoption increase

It's a very good development because the world needs those who understands the present financial movement to be in power. He'll help formulate policies and programs that are crypto friendly and beneficial to the economy. The world's finance is gradually moving towards a position that'll be determined by crypto and blockchain technology. It's good to be positioned so you don't get left behind. Other major states in USA should learn from New York citizens and elect crypto friendly officials.

People have ignored crypto enough and they are unable to do anything else now than to acknowledge the fact that cryptocurrency use is inevitable. Someone with the knowledge of not just Blockchain but also cryptocurrency is invaluable in any growth focused government. Kudos to the candidate.

I believe he will get the support of the citizens especially those who are supporters of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general, however he may be tackled by regulators when he starts putting measures toward making New York a Bitcoin city. Winning the primary election is the first step toward the journey. I hope he wins because his action will favor the crypto market in general

The main problem is that one politician or candidate alone could not be able to do anything on his own. The fact of the matter is that when it comes to creation of lenient policies regarding cryptocurrencies, then the administration as a whole must work together in order to form a system that could allow cryptocurrency traders and holders to get the benefits.
