Do you have a blog or a website? What domain extension are you using for your blog or website?
I am using xyz domain for my personal blog. Since my personal blog does not have a niche and I publish on almost everything, from movies to DYI, religion and politics, therefore, I though xyz domain will do justice. I used dot info for my personal website.
has anyone used dot blog domain for a blog or dot me for a personal website?

No, never. I have always gone with .com as my extension for all blogs and websites I've created in the past. This seems to be the best for me because when you're selling the site online people seem to buy a site with a .com more than they do a site with .xyz.

That's true. A dot com website has more value than the website using other extensions. However, when it comes to SEO and Search Engine Ranking, extensions actually do not actually matter. What matters is quality contents having focus keywords and backlinks. I think having niche extensions add value to your website.

I might always agree with people and all their beliefs because I've been building websites for quite some time now and I've sold off a lot of them. I basically concentrate on the design, content, and page layouts to make my site user friendly. I work on the site map and make sure that it is always up to date with the latest additions to the site. I do things a bit different, but it seems that what ever I do it works out well in ranking and site visits.

Dot com is always the best. It can be used with any kind of sites. You can register it for around $10 and also renew for the same price. There are many domain extensions that cost so little to register but have to pay hefty price for renewal. If you want niche based extension, you can try dot blog or dot me.

While I was learning tricks about buying and selling of domain, I was told to always buy domain with extensions of .com cos it is mostly used by many and it can easily be resell any time with out delay, so I prefer a .com extensions
