Tether's bank Deltec Bank & Trust announced that it has deposited customer funds in Bitcoin when the price of the cryptocurrency is around $ 9300.
Deltec Bank & Trust Chief Investment Officer Hugo Rogers made the following statement:

"We bought Bitcoin for about $ 9300 for our clients, we found this pick to be a good choice for 2020. We expect to continue this for 2021. "

What is your opinion for this late notification?

But was the client aware that bitcoin was bought with their funds , because it would really risky to make use of client funds to trade bitcoin , because what if the price falls rapidly

It is not known what happened, but this news has now been denied. The following statement was made:

--"We are aware of Deltec Bank & Trust Limited's latest statements regarding the purchase of digital tokens on behalf of its customers. It does not outsource decisions about tether reserves. Deltec does not buy digital currency on behalf of Tether. " --

i'm just wondering if they took the customers permission to purchase bitcoin funds with their money, that's just a lack of responsability and if more people know about this, they will withdraw their funds for sure

Yes, when you think of it as logic somehow I guess it should get the approval of its customers. They denied this news, stating that they had not made such an initiative anyway.

...but it would have yielded them a lot of profits. I agree with the high risk involved but just look at buying bitcoin at $9300 and having it at $58k in just a year. That would have been some crazy profits.

It is actually crazy profit but the risk in such deal is higher, if you notice people that have spare cash makes more money from cryptocurrency.

The high risk is what makes it important to be cautious but sometimes I would wish I could predict the future of these coins accurately to reduce those risks.

Risk is a constant word that has made people millionaires or billionaire or even poorer today in Crypto currencies, we need to learn on how to take calculated risk.
