Steemit is a social network that looks and functions a lot like Reddit, but with one HUGE difference:

Steemit pays both the content creators when their work gets upvoted, as well as the people who curate the best content on the site by upvoting others work.

This is a cryptocurrency generator website. Here people upvote and share steem power to you. And that power is converted into steem dollar. Which can be withdrawn to BTC or USD. The payout type of stuff doesn't exist here due to the nature of the site being cryptocurrency. So write content, get upvotes and steem power. And then that would lead to the more steem dollars which needs to be converted or exchanged.

There seems to be no benefit for referrals and so. It's cryptocurrency earning site.

Can you recommend an app or tool to use for checking the site and making posts while you are on mobile? This is quite a long post TL;DR but I know I can refer back to it should I need some notes.

No there does not seem to be any app or the option of tool. You have to login to steemit like any other site. Though they do seem to be having mobile friendly page. But it does have the responsive interface. So you should be just fine with that. In other cases I can tell you that steemit seems to be a good site for mobile users too. Just try and browse it through google chrome. I am sure it'd be possible to navigate.

I think it's not easy to get the most out of the steemit. It all depends on how the network allows content curation. it's one hell of a work. but the earned currency has some value. and can be sued to buy other currencies like bitcoin and others. so yeah that can be good enough. as of now the USD value of the SBD is not high. it is same as lumen. it is in 1.4 $ right now and that has to increase slowly.

Steemit is a blogging site where you will get paid from it. To be honest, it is difficult to learn that website and you need strategy. I can't help for now because I haven't understood it completely. But I am loving it. Here is my first payout below. Not huge because it is just a try out. In fact, it is suggested to request at higher amount. You will get paid through Bitcoin wallet.

Congratulations on your first payout with Steemit! I am liking Paid to Post sites so definitely this is one is in my bucket list. How long did it take you to reach this amount? would you recommend this to us at the rate you are going. I know you are not totally acquainted with the site but then at least your opinion counts a real member there.

Congratulations on your payment, Steemit is legit but you need many followers and up-votes to earn faster, there is also a site called steemfollower many people use it to get followers and up-votes faster and it has a referral program too, Good luck.

They pay through Steem Dollars, but withdrawing them pays through Bitcoin, so Bitcoin wallet is very important.

This is my second payout from Steemit. I am 20 days old on that website and I want to improve my earnings. If you requested payout at higher amount, charges would be lower from Blocktrades. That amount is worth more than $30.
