These days there are many people who want to start their own business or startup. And they tend to make use of the online resources. And there seems to be many degrees and the courses online in universities and the sites like udemy. But there is a lack of the people who do help with consultancy. Like say people who can give you advice on sourcing, raw material and other details on how to build the startup. And how to take the business ahead. Though I personally have no experience in handling large valued startups. I wonder if helping other business on sourcing and other information can be a business itself?

Is it possible to do such business?

Possible yes, profitable? Probably not.
You need to be extremely good at your job, and consultancy firms usually work with referrals.
AKA one person really likes your work, so they recommend you to a friend, and that friend will pick you.
If you have no previous experience with start ups and can not show any successful examples nobody will hire you.
Why would they? They need to see proof before they start spending thousands on your advice.
I build websites for clients with a marketing website, and all those clients ask me one thing; Do you have any examples?
If I had to answer no, not a single one of those clients would want to do business with me.

When you want to start a good consultancy agency you need to get your own start ups running and link back to your agency as advisor so companies that are also trying to get off the ground can "copy" your ideas and basically hire you in the process.

Yes that sort of happens with me. Where I am working on fiverr. A guy once hired me and did created same gigs and then used me in process. So he charges 20$ and get gigs from me for 10$. And that kind of adds more burden on me. And he makes the profit in the process. So not sure if this model is sustainable.

To me anything can be a business,provided I'm making money off it. If there are clients looking for information about their businesses and they are willing to pay my kind of money then why not.i will go for it.

Every money making job is a business, every business can thrive once the initiator do his feasibility studies very well, environment also play a key role in business, there are people who are good in exploring their environment. Running a consultant business is lucrative but time consuming and information demanding.

The major thing about consulting is that you need to be very good in your chosen area. A lot of the time, referrals from clients will give you a big fraction of your jobs.

You will also employ others in different fields of business to join you such that your consulting firm accomodotes all types of business challenges and solutions

These type of businesses are already working in the form of Job Consultancy but they are mostly for a Job and this can be an addition to it because they will be consulting people in setting up their own business and assisting them in exchange of fee. This can work but don't see it a profitable one because fee cannot be enormous unless the start up itself requires a large amount of capital.

It depends on the environment the business is and the track record, if they have recommendation from people they will surely make money from the services.

There will definitely be terms and agreements as regards eventuality of consultation, I believe the business is lucrative but setting it up may not be easy to grow .

Yes not so easy and marketing with some demo idea may work. so that if ideas are bright in adverrising then similar companies be influenced to hire them. like Premium version software in asverriding billboard point out 3 solutions for automotive sellers and for more points contact us with over 200 dolution points available. This kind of adverrising attracts customers to unlock more solution points to purchase. Same concept works in games, softwares and many other fields.

Yes. I think it is possible to make consultancy a business. I know many consultancy companies in my home town. This days, you use the knowledge you have to create a job for yourself, you don't wait for employment. Consultancy is such a great idea for a business.

If someone has true passion for consultancy might do it. But he should be honest to deliver full service for the money he is getting otherwise its not legal in honesty or Religious sense. A lot of people do value money only and do not care people or humanity now a days its rising at severe level.

This is a good idea but does it mean you will specialise in one field or all fields. For instance if someone needs consultation on poultry farming and another needs consultation on fruit juice production, how will you handle this?.

Need to have skill and experience on related field. Good question about soecific business. I think consultancy business is not bad if experience is high enough to handle customers.

I think business owner must be passionate about consultancy he is doing with love and enjoyment not just for money. Else soon he willbe bored which is very usual. Legal farmand consultancy are boring subject to many people.

Passion should be the major factor towards doing the business cos lots of challenges will faced but with passion he will overcome them and be stronger. Successful business consultant makes money like child's play.

yes the thing he enjoys and loves to do never seems difficult to him. so handling business process will not be a load to him anymore. he will probably love it daily.

Looks interesting from your comments. I am curious how wide consultants suggest cordially or not. I never faced any consultant (doctors are different they are like health consultant nearly).

Definitely getting experts in the field and paying them can suffice if the principal isn't really vested but it will really good to collaborate with well trained experts to give the business a boast so that it can grow better.
