Spare5 Overview
Spare5 is a GPT site and iOS App that pays its community members to perform various micro tasks on behalf of its clients. One of the company's main functions is to use human skills in training artificial intelligence (AI) models to be more intelligent. Spare5 has worked with some of the well known brands such as Microsoft, IBM, Sentient Technologies, GoPro, Pinterest, and Expedia.

Getting Started
Anyone age 18 and over can create an account with Spare5. Registration can be done through one of several social media accounts or by email address. After account creation, you will be required to provide some basic information such as age, gender and address. This information will be used to pair you with available tasks. These tasks can be completed either by logging into their website or by using the App which currently only available for iOS devices.

The Tasks
Tasks are sectioned into the following categories:

Assess Language
Here you will be listening to audio voice recordings and describing the content, tone, meaning, and speaker attitude.

Annotate Images
This task requires viewing images and labeling the different elements.

Isolate Elements
For this task you will be selecting the edges of elements to separate them from the rest of the image.

Provide Keywords
This task is simply tagging photos using appropriate keywords. This information is used to train computers on how to interpret images.

The Pay System
The minimum payout is set at $1. This setting can be adjusted on the dashboard of your account if you desire to be paid at a larger amount. Payments are sent via PayPal every Friday.

Referral System
Under the Refer-a-Friend program, you can earn up to $20. Every time your referral earns $10, you will receive a $2 bonus, and the referral will receive $1. This will continue until they have earned their first $100 or through their first 180 days. Your referral link will be activated when you have received $10 in payouts.

Yes now I'm damn sure the tasks vary one place to another and now my country is not on their list totally so they announce officially that they don't provide me task again. Spare5 is good and legit so you can continue my friend.

What bothers me really bad about spare5 is the level of accuracy they demand. For real, it's pretty hard to even get qualified for certain tasks. You get to spend a lot of time for just a couple of cents... not worth it, if you ask me.

yes spare5 is a good site but as number of workers are increasing they are decreasing the pay rate like when i joined spare5 they were offering 0.15 per task and there were so many tasks to perform i made 10$ a day without much effort but now they even giving 0.1 for two tasks and accuracy level is also very high. you can get block any time and you do not even know about it, mean they do not inform you but still i think if you have spare time so you can make 50$ a week but if you do accurately

I strongly agree to you. I have tried Spare 5 but I lost my motivation on working on the site because of those reasons you mentioned, however for those people who are pretty good at technical things like drawing boxes, it will be really good.

I stopped using this site because it was very difficult to reach the minimum payout previously. I started doing some tasks over there since last week when I heard that the minimum payout is now $1. Hopefully I will be able to cash out by the end of this week over there.

I've received several payments from Spare5. But lately all they have are those outlining tasks which I don't like - I waste too much time to complete those tasks and the pay is not that good. I usually do the qualifier and then do just the review tasks where you have to check other users completed tasks.

Yeah but actually to do better on spare5 you need to concentrate more on the available tasks and your ratings on those available tasks helps us to qualify for more tasks like that. Actually the tasks are so technical that even i quit that website.

Aside from that all qualifying tasks are time consuming, that is the reason I stop using this site.

You are not alone. I haven't passed any exam. Scaleapi emailed me a week ago. Telling me that I haven't visited for awhile which is true. I quit because I can't pass the qualifications. So yesterday I tried 2 exams - unfortunately, I failed again. It is difficult than Spare5.

I havent tried spare5. I really love doing micro task. Before I have tried Microworkers, Rapid workers and Picoworkers I cashed out in Picoworkers once. Some other time I will explore spare5 too!

yes you are right. qualification test in spare5 is way easier than scalapi. even they do not tell you the score. how could we know that at what point we are wrong so i quit and back to others :)

Finally, got my second payment from spare 5. Well, it took 2 weeks for me to receive this payment since I wasn't able to reach the threshold last week also there were just very few tasks in spare 5. Although it is fun to do tasks with spare 5 like bounding boxes and annotation or labeling but the tasks are just very few so basically I can just earn few dollars from spare 5. I checked on the community in spare 5 and some are actually earning $50 a week or more and I don't know how they did that. Maybe, it really depends upon the location. Anyway, I am still happy I've got few bucks from spare 5 after all.

I only tried once. After that, I didn't made any. I didn't pass as well. But it's fine, I am not really focused at that time. Besides, I have other works to do.

Yeah, I noticed it is quite a bit hard to pass there. Or maybe they were a but strict and the rate is reasonable.
