Spare5 Overview
Spare5 is a GPT site and iOS App that pays its community members to perform various micro tasks on behalf of its clients. One of the company's main functions is to use human skills in training artificial intelligence (AI) models to be more intelligent. Spare5 has worked with some of the well known brands such as Microsoft, IBM, Sentient Technologies, GoPro, Pinterest, and Expedia.

Getting Started
Anyone age 18 and over can create an account with Spare5. Registration can be done through one of several social media accounts or by email address. After account creation, you will be required to provide some basic information such as age, gender and address. This information will be used to pair you with available tasks. These tasks can be completed either by logging into their website or by using the App which currently only available for iOS devices.

The Tasks
Tasks are sectioned into the following categories:

Assess Language
Here you will be listening to audio voice recordings and describing the content, tone, meaning, and speaker attitude.

Annotate Images
This task requires viewing images and labeling the different elements.

Isolate Elements
For this task you will be selecting the edges of elements to separate them from the rest of the image.

Provide Keywords
This task is simply tagging photos using appropriate keywords. This information is used to train computers on how to interpret images.

The Pay System
The minimum payout is set at $1. This setting can be adjusted on the dashboard of your account if you desire to be paid at a larger amount. Payments are sent via PayPal every Friday.

Referral System
Under the Refer-a-Friend program, you can earn up to $20. Every time your referral earns $10, you will receive a $2 bonus, and the referral will receive $1. This will continue until they have earned their first $100 or through their first 180 days. Your referral link will be activated when you have received $10 in payouts.

I easily get frustrated with the lines. I am thinking right now if it is really that hard or I already have an eye problem because I can't get it right.

ESTIMATED bounding box around the vehicles and you cant even see all the car...

Yeah its tough and the worst part is, if we didn't complete this task we cannot expect or have other tasks. I tried this task several times but I failed every time and after which i decided to leave Spare5. That's why I said, Spare 5 is those who are technically sound and perfect. But i guess you can try Pico Workers.

I hope you can do better there. I tried my luck few months back on Spare5 but it was not much or any fruitful for me. The tasks are very complex and some tasks require skills of a computer expert or genius and surely we require a lot of training and time to pass those qualifications. Also there pay is quite small. If you want you can join Pico workers from my referral, it provides very easy tasks.

Well, this morning they've had quite some tasks for higher rated members (I guess I am one of them or so it said). It was really easy and you had to fix/review labelled boxes and finalise the touches. Easy money

The tasks are sometimes complex, yet some people are enjoying it. I am not into those tasks though.

I agree with you. With Picoworkers, I stopped working on that site for a while. I wouldn't like verifying my I.D. and makinh a selfie with it.

I don't mind such things if it pays. I already did these days when i started. I uploaded my recent pic and also my Id proof issued by Government of India. But for Spare 5 the technicality of tasks didn't motivate many to join and stick there for long. I heard many saying that and its pretty difficult for us.

I'm pretty happy because I've finally received my first payment from Spare5. I really like the tasks but sadly, you have to be quick to grab them or they're gone within seconds. Can't wait to earn more!

You are terrific! Congratulations to your first payment in Spare5. I really admire people who can do things better than I can. In my case Spare5 is a bit complicated for me but I still visit the site and do tutorial tasks. I am so happy for you. :)

Well I didn't have a good experience with spare5 either. Tasks become unavailable within minutes and low paying, hard working tasks are left for me. So, making no progress yet.

Thanks. Yesterday I pas that task, at the end it was easy after all if you understand what you have to do. The paid tasks were a bit more boring, but I made them and earn some cents. Now waiting for more jobs on Spare5.

That's nice to hear. I hope and wish you can do well there. And lemme assure you, if you spare more time there and with proper determination, you can surely do well as there are many tasks which are technical but if we complete them with good ratings than we can easily qualify for more like that.

Yeah but actually to do better on spare5 you need to concentrate more on the available tasks and your ratings on those available tasks helps us to qualify for more tasks like that. Actually the tasks are so technical that even i quit that website.

I used to spend hours working on this site when the pay per task is still better than today. I see most tasks are priced at 0.01. That doesn't look good anymore.

Finally, got my second payment from spare 5. Well, it took 2 weeks for me to receive this payment since I wasn't able to reach the threshold last week also there were just very few tasks in spare 5. Although it is fun to do tasks with spare 5 like bounding boxes and annotation or labeling but the tasks are just very few so basically I can just earn few dollars from spare 5. I checked on the community in spare 5 and some are actually earning $50 a week or more and I don't know how they did that. Maybe, it really depends upon the location. Anyway, I am still happy I've got few bucks from spare 5 after all.

congrats on your success with spare5, once I also get paid but now they stop providing me task maybe because I'm not good to complete them or my country is not eligible to get tasks.
