After El Salvador now the South Africa is going to adopt Bitcoin and other crypto assets to boost "Responsible Innovation". The Inter Governmental Fintech Working Group Or IFWG of Africa also recently released a pdf in, they said about the Frame work by which the Government can easily regulate crypto assets in their country.

If they do want this " responsible innovation" then they should also research and adopt the system behind cryptocurrencies not just adopting the cryptocurrencies itself

This Was Always Going To Happen With Surrounding Countries Opting for the Crypto How They Could Had Been Left Behind Them Tbh
Actually In My Opinion .

Regulation of crypto currency in South Africa is really trending. I have been reading about it and I hope other Africa countries follow suit to help their economy

We All Do Want That It Gets Adopted In Every Part Of The World , But The Bad Part Is That Policies Vary And Interests Vary From Country To Country Which Are The Reason Of Delay In It Tbh Actually .

That's good.. if they can adopt it and make use of the benefits for their people and improve. Since the value is quite high if they just try to mine their own..

Especially Nigeria. With a vast majority of it's citizens using cryptocurrency, adoption by this country would be a great milestone for cryptocurrency adoption

I heard about Ghana recently. Now I am seeing South Africa adopting the biggest platform to grow the economy. Unlike my country that has placed a ban on everything useful for its citizens. We only hope they change their mind.

I think there is a biiiiig difference between legalizing, regulating and using as public tender. There should be more information what you are talking... the El Salvador reference is clearly about legal tender, while the framework is about regulation... this does not match.

I believe with this their strategy of giving guidelines on cryptocurrency investment , they will surely control the alleged side effect of cryptocurrency in the economy

A welcome development for African fastest growing economy this will help boost different sectors in the economy and also promote foreign trade but it has to be technically controlled so as to checkmate illegal activities that can be done with it.

South Africa is been proactive amongst African countries to adopt cryptocurrencies as we can see now that it now supercede Nigerla through peer to peer transactions volume.

That's going to be tremendous, seeing south Africa adopting BTC as a means of legal tender to make do inflation if it happens to occur. They've taking inspiration from El-salvador to adopt BTC on their own.

This is a welcome development coming from an African country. Adopting Bitcoin will also challenge other African countries to do same.

Yeah I think the ban on cryptocurrency is also what is happening in my country , all we hope is that there could be a change in government to change their policies

Change of government may not really be the solution because it is the central bank that is giving advise and directive to government

It's about time, I expected this move from south Africa earlier than this, this is a good move from south Africa, they are always looking for ways to improve themselves be it in terms of technology and the likes.
