SEO, what is it?
Why Search Engine Optimization?
All these things must be known to all webmasters. And all this is not even part of my question.

The first real question is, have any of the webmasters here ever tried to find out about SEO by going to Google Search Central?

How does Google decide which page should rank first in search? What is the key factor for easily get a good rank on Google (according to you)?

Do you people think that it is necessary to put frequent posts in the blog to get a good rank in Google?

What type of keywords you think are best for getting a high rank on Google easily (According to you)?

You should answer these questions on the basis of your own experience.

SEO is a rapidly changing industry and what worked a few years or months ago may not work today. Thus it is important to stay educated and informed about the latest new SEO developments.

Websites with more pages in the index rank higher than sites with fewer pages, right? not nessacary !! Websites with a lot of high-quality pages indexed will rank higher and not just any type of page.
Pages with thin content or duplicate content does not add value to the website, in fact it harms the SEO performance of the website. If you're aiming to get as many pages as you can index in Google, you may have to stop and review my SEO strategy.

You are quite right that SEO keeps on changing, search engines are so much better than they were a few years ago.

Of course I was not suggesting that a website with more pages would always rank higher than a website with fewer pages!!! The amount of content it just one of the (many) factors. But, if there were two websites - with content of identical quality but one had more than the other, that one would most likely rank higher.

They were quite right. A site with little content will find it hard to be ranked high in search engines. Of course content is not the only thing (or even perhaps the most important), I would suggest the most important thing is backlinks - without backlinks google won't even be able to find your site! Once you have a few links in, and good content, then you will get yourself on google easily.
Yes you are right. I have seen it in many post as many poster are talking about backlinks as it is very important is SEO.
But my problem is that I don't really know how it works. I know that it deals with posting links but I don't really know how to use the links.
I would like you to explain better how it works. And also what is the meaning of adding follow and nofollow to a link. I would be glad if you can analysis all this. Thank you.

The decision of which page is supposed to appear first is usually a combination of so many other factors.
1. How responsive your site is going to be for people who are visiting from mobile phones and those who are browsing with laptop computer.
2. They also scan the whole of the article to see if it is containing the main keywords that the person is searching about and as such determine if it is relevant or not.
3. They also check your past site statistics to see how long people are staying in the website.

Backlinks just refer to other sites linking to your site. For example I could post a link right here:
https://google.comAnd I've just created a backlink for Google.

The more backlinks you have the more popular your webpage will appear and the higher your ranking.

BUT - backlinks are not equal. A link from a very popular site is far more important than a link from small sites. You can have hundreds of backlinks but if they are all from very small sites it might not help much.

Nofollow links are where the website owner puts a small amount of code into the link to ask the seach engines not to follow or count that backlink. If you have lots of links into your site but they are all nofollow links then they count for nothing as far as search engines go. However, as far as I know nowadays at least some search engines ignore nofollow commands - but I might be wrong on that!

Thank you very much. You have explained what I need to know about backlinks and nofollow links.
With this I think practicing SEO for our blog is easy then. Only just sometimes when we are learning to know somethings, we don't usually put our minds into it.
I have been trying to learn about SEO for more than 3 years now but I don't understand it. Untill recent that I decided that I must know it. And now I am starting to understand it. Even with little explanations from others. Likewise I understand what you just explained now.

Glad to have been of help :)

Basically, for small businesses and bloggers an indepth knowledge of SEO is not really required. There are only 3 things that are important:
1) Good content
2) Get as many links to your site as you can
3) Keywords - when you write your entries, and particuarly on the titles consider which keywords you are using. BMF does well in search rankings becuase most of the threads are titled "LEGIT OR SCAM" - excellent keywords.

Wow this is another tip in ranking well. No wonder when I search on Google and my search sometime have beermoneyforum topics as my results when they have topics that is relates to what I search for.
I would like to ask if there is a way to search for keywords or a keywords tool that will extract keywords from my Content?

The first that google notices is how the people are interacting to the content available on your platform for many if is important because when google notices that your visitors are spending long sessions it will want to make your content rank higher so more users can reach it and you her a bigger following so this is how you start about frequent posts yes it is good and linking them too and its good strategy in the eyes of google you can use long tail seo keywords that people use more and have the tendency to make your website platforms ranked higher in the search engines too.

You are right that is one of the things that Google crawling machine do detect. It checks the session and the duration of time been spent on an article.
But before that Google do check the tank of a website by check the backlinks of the website from popular website.

Back links are important for a website but they should be from the authority links that help more than normal links and once you build an authority it is always safe to assume that you just need to build few more authority links to maintain your ranking in the google eyes

I'll start my comment by answering questions on the keyword research. If you are starting a niche website it is very important to engage in keyword research.

You must uncover a lot of easy to rank keywords in your niche. This will allow your website to rank quickly on Google search engine in order to receive free organic traffic.

There are so many factors in which Google consider before they can rank a website on the first page of the search engine for the target keyword.

Backlinko stated that Google has over 200 ranking signals. However, backlink from authority website is the most important of all ranking signal on Google search engine.

To answer your questions, i'm not a webmaster but i've gone to google on one or two occassions to search about search engine optimization. According to me, some key factors involved in getting a good ranking on google are good key words, backlinks, quality and original contents. Yes, it is necessary to put frequent posts on the blog to get a good rank on google.

The search engine optimisation music terms is Jonas and the Google algorithms. Google consensus in ranking of website is embedded in the SEO knowledge. First, you need to get acquainted with the keywords on your niche. This is highly needed in blog posting. You should also understand the mind of the lovers of your niche.

The number of traffic a website generates may determine its ranks on search engine. And this can only be ensured if the website uses the right keyword that are mostly searched for maybe it contains the information that the users need. However, it is very important to have good and quality content to ensure this.

SEO is simply simply creating an online interest for your website. You want visitors to stick with your website by trying to make your content educational and also interactive. you want to ensure that the audience keep coming back . It is a tool that is a must-have for all content creators.

A blogger should take a score card of SEO results to know whether he's doing well or not. This will help to know where to focus your attention on or whether to change strategy. Taking an SEO score test is very important to every blogger that wants to rank higher.

There are free SEO score cards and those where you pay an expert. The problem with the free resources is they tend to be rather vague and often cannot be used to implement the right systems, the problem with the paid one is they tend to be far too expensive for a small blogger to even consider.
