Hello Guys,

Following the last changes to YouTube a lot of small channels felt betrayed by this decision and most of them said they actually found more success on instagram than on YouTube,

What do you think about this ? i don't know if videos would be the same ? and im not sure if it's gonna work the same as adsense or not ? share your thoughts as i heard some people from my country say that and don't really explain in what way they used it. so i am a bit confused.

It is impossible for them to make money on Instagram just by uploading vidoes, the Instagram account must be monetized either through AdSense or other means, the only advantage might be the minimum number of views required.

Actually what most people used to do was growing an instagram account wether through video or only image posts and then would start working with brands on sponsored posts, I heard some brands were willing to pay up to $50 per image/video post given your profile had decent engagement But that will change soon as instagram is building it's own monetization program maybe will launch next year dont know the details but they are willing to offer a program similar to YouTube partner program

of course, they have a reason for that, as you know Instagram is a really good place for advertising and especially when you have a professional account and you related it by absence (it will be really benefit )

I still don't know really, how people earn from Instagram. I don't think it's everyone's cup of coffee.
I vote for YouTube as it has always been in this field and it is best till date.

you don't know the secret of that social media because you only use it for chatting or follow some people but Instagram is one of the best places to make advertisements (the famous company gives their product for the famous people on Instagram)
you can watch some videos about the benefit of Instagram and you will see

If they are small on youtube, im sure they wont even appear on instagram, compare followers on youtube with followers in instagram and you will notice that there is a huge difference, especially that instagram has a lot of purposes not only videod which means people will mostly visit youtube instead if they want to watch

i guess there are better alternatives that doesn't generate income based on ads, you can still do affiliate marketing and promote other people for money, that would help better, facebook had to spend ages to bring something similar to adsense and it's complicated, so i guess finding similar to that in instagram would be kinda late

Youtube is a platform that was made for only videos , which means, they would succeed better in it than in instagram that's a social media tool ( chatting and everything else, not a sticked topic like on youtube) .

for now it's really hard to get 4000 hours watch and 1000 subscribers and also you need to make the video 10mminutes or more to ba able to make some good profit, but instagram is easier to get famous on

I don't think the requirements for YouTube monetization is 4000 hours but 4000 views, the last I checked. It is not easy to get your YouTube channel monetized but if you succeed the money keeps coming.

Where did you last checked that 4,000 hours is not needed for You Tube channel monetization? Anyway, be it on Instagram or You Tube as long as you keep at it, you'll get there one of these days OP.

4000 views is much easier than 4000 hours please, if it was 4000 views everyone would had monetized their channels, and the comments above give you the prove

You are right,. I got it wrong I thought it was 4000 views. It sometimes last year that I wanted to monetize a channel that I saw the criterias so I couldn't cos it wasn't feasible.

I am guessing the eligibility for monetization requirements are still as steep or even steeper than this. Strangely enough, lots of people are still flocking to YouTube.

Yeah the platform is affiliate marketing and you might also get ads request from advertisers if you have high number of followers on the platform

you get paid for promoting products as well (not affiliate marketing, just getting paid for promotion like advertising or something like that), that's an earning opportunity too

I specialise them in two different positions like affiliate marketing is the platform and you also get cash for promoting ads that's just it

I don't think there are making money from the videos posted on the instagram, they only use this means to lure people to their channel on YouTube. I have noticed this lately on instagram
