Anyone got paid to review music by Slicethepie?
Please share some tips and tricks to earn more with this program if is not a scam.

I heard from this website a few days ago, some people were saying they pay you around 5 cents of dollar per comment, but the owner of the song that you comment about have to like it. They have a rating system so you have to do a good job. Once they used to pay 0.15 dollars per comment, which is a nice price, but since now they reduce it, I'm not sure it's still worth it.
I don't think they have to 'like it' so much as agree that it's a valid review of their stuff. I posted plenty of negative reviews when I was working there but I still got my money, because everything was targeted to the song.

I think you can still theoretically make that much per review, but after 150 reviews I was still pretty stubbornly stuck at three stars out of five. I'm betting they don't move people up the ranks very often to keep their costs low. Tisk.

I haven't used it because all of the forums that I belong to seem to agree that the amount of effort you have to put forth is not worth the small payment that you receive. While I think it is a really fun concept, it just doesn't seem worth it.

I do slicethepie every now and then. Yes, they do pay you but it takes forever to get that $10. They have limited options for reviewing - sometimes you can do 30 reviews per day, sometimes they don't have anything. The longest time I've been without any type of option to review was about a week which was a long time. It took for about a month or so to cash out for the first time. I wouldn't say that you should rely on your earnings on a site like that but it's something that can give you some little extra every now and then.

Its not worth your time. First of all, they only accept a few countries like the US and its very hard to write a original review for each and every song. You have to be a die hard music fan and expert to do that. Some of the music are downright terrible. They want original content for each of your reviews. It takes a lot of time as you have at least listen to it for 90 sec. Although they pay, they are not a scam.

Here's a quick rundown of Slice the Pie:
  • What is it? It is a review site for songs. All you have to do is listen to a song for 90 seconds and then rank it from 1 to 10, then give a review for it.
  • How much does it pay per review? Well, you start out with just 2 cents for each review you do. But if you write enough helpful reviews, you can rank up to 4 cents per review.
  • Is it worth it? For me, it's a fun website to try. It pays very low and you have to provide in-depth reviews as well. But for when you have nothing to do, it's a good site to spend some time on and earn some little cash.
Good luck!

I tried out slicethepie, to be blunt, it wasnt very good. the income was absolutely horrible, like 7 cents a song, where you had to write nearly a full paragraph.

Well if Slicethepie doesn't work for you then you can probably try Musicxray, but to me it's just not that worth it. They pay $0.10 per song for you just to listen to without any review, but the song inbox is pretty dry mostly. There are a lot of times when I get notified for a new song through my email, only to come to an empty inbox as always.

Get paid to listen to and review music. You can rate fashion and mobile accessories too. It's not a lot for the work involved, but it's fun to do. On some days they put a bonus on, allowing you to earn double the usual amount. The amount you earn is also linked to your rating. They pay through PayPal, minimum amount $10.

It seems like an interesting concept, but what exactly is the payout? How much would you expect to earn in a typical hour of doing this? In my opinion, it's kind of a crucial bit of information to decide whether to use the service or not.

Оnсе yоu submit yоur rеviеw, Sliсеthеpiе runs it аgаinst аn аlgоrithm аnd dеtеrminеs yоur rеviеw pаymеnt. This is one of the high paying sites that pays you just for reviewing music. The only drawback of this site is the location. I am from India and when I registered on this site, they informed me that they only accept western countries. :( Can someone suggest me any alternative to this site?

I've reviewed music for Slice The Pie before. I never did reach their payout threshold. When I changed web providers and bought new technology last, then tried to log in, I was told me speed, high speed broadband wifi, was too slow to use the site. Also, despite indicating my music genre preferences, I was always given other genres I didn't find as enjoyable. So yeah, for various reasons, it's not worth it.

It depends on your star rating, which is based on the quality of your reviews. I have 4-stars and have been making between $0.04 to $0.25 per review – depends on what I'm reviewing and if there is a bonus. How quickly you can build that up depends on how fast you are at writing the reviews. They only have to be a paragraph or two in length. I've also never ran out of things to review.

That's a shame; I also know this frustration. I start to do my research, find a site that sounds great, and then suddenly realize that they'll only accept people from certain countries. There's a website called Music Xray that'll pay $0.10 per song, but I'm not sure who it's open too. I don't get many song matches either. - http://www.musicxray.com. You can also try Radio Loyalty if you want to earn rewards while listening to music. Websites like Clixsense use it and pay out $0.01 every 10 minutes.

I tried this site a while back but wasn't impressed with it. The payout was not nearly what anyone would want or expect. I feel as if this is a site where you literally have to sit around all day doing it to make any income, which is tedious and boring (especially when I could be making more money doing other things). Furthermore, it's really not all fun and games. It's a great way to find new music, but sometimes it's the same stuff or you have to review things you hate. When I signed up, the only songs they gave me to review were rap, over and over again; There just wasn't any variety. And if I remember correctly, you start out being paid literally pennies on the dollar. Not even pennies, but halves of pennies. It just didn't seem worth it to me.

Hmm, that's actually not too bad. I doubt it's for me though, reviewing music isn't really my thing. I don't have the best tongue for reviewing when it comes to music. I either like it or I don't, and I can't really explain why. With other things, I don't really have a problem, but music just doesn't work out for me. Maybe I'll give it a whirl eventually, but it doesn't seem like my kind of thing.

I've also tried slice the pie and while I found it did pay out, what they wanted was a little too much for the pay they was offering. While the cash out limit was only set at $10, it took me about an hour every day for a full week to make that $10 so it would average out about $1 an hour.

It's a fun site, that does pay, but I'd use it more of a site to use every now and then as maybe a hobby that pays a bit, rather than a site to earn money off on a regular basis.

I've heard a lot of people saying that this site's pay rate is not worth it. I've tried joining this site but unfortunately it's not available in my country.

If you want to get paid to listen to music without writing a review then you could probably try Musicxray. It pays $0.10 for every track that you listen to with a minimum payout of $20. If you're interested you can try it, but for me it's just not worth it because the music inbox is pretty dry most of the time. So it's gonna take you quite a long time to meet the minimum payout.

While I have heard of Musicxray, after my dealings with Slicethepie I decided to give it a miss and just assumed they would both be the same.

I think with sites like these, instead of cashing out on a regular basis, everytime you've got $10 for example, I think you'd probably feel more benefit if you reviewed 5-6 tracks a day, then just let the amount build up for 6 or 12 months. You'd probably feel like it was worth it more then maybe?
