when you are opening a business the first thing that you generally look for is a good location. however, when you choose a location you have to think about eh customer base in that area and the other businesses that are there as well. Do you think that it is necessary to have competition in an area? On the one hand no competition is good because it ensures that customers have to purchase those products from you if they need them, but competition is better for continuous improvement and striving to be better? Which do you think is better for a business?

That seems to be true you can open a business in area without much competetion because such brand of product which you are selling may not be common so people will patronize you the most compare to when someone has already open the same business you are operating buyers must be less as some people will prefer other shop to yours

less competition rather than no competition can work better as well , and no competition means once you are in such a locality people have one choice or they can have theri things coming from their offices , and so you have to face that as well , so less competition is better

It would be really great to start a business in an area where there is no competition yet there is high market. Though that is not common and so one had better learn to deal with competition. This is by providing high quality products and services to your customers.

It all depends on that ability of that Individual to think outside the box. The person needs look for ways to attract customers not minding the competition. They can decide to reduce the price or add a gift when a customer buys a product and it also depends on your products, if it is the best they you have no worries as people would always go for the best but the way you treat your customers is key.

Suppose you live in a place where there is no paper mill bussiness, so you created a paper mill. Well , it is your choice but you need to understand that running away from competition won't make your business succeed but working towards making it enticing to customers

An offline business will never be without a competitor in the area unless your business is unique. Even a funeral business for the dead is now getting common that almost every town has one. For a new business you just have to go with the tide of the existing competitors.

I would also like to work in an area where there's no competition but these days, everyone wants to do business.
I also noticed that when a business is doing good on it's own and another company see's this, it moves it's business closer to the area where the other company is doing good. Then things start to change after that.

I think there will always be competition unless your are remotely situated.
