One of the most important parts in a business is trying to decide what to include in your business structure and the extent that you want to consider your business to encompass. For example there are some businesses that offer you direct shipping, where they have their own shipping internally that delivers the package, whereas others make use of a third part business, like their local courier service. Which do you think is the better option for online businesses to make use of?

It would be nice if a business can do everything on its own, right? However, some businesses may not have what it takes to handle the delivery themselves and it may even be cost effective to hire a delivery service on the long run.

When hiring a delivery service in the long run is there a sort of discount that businesses typically tend to get in order to promote their recurrent use of that courier service for their delivery options?

The logistics support as well as the cost to maintain a shipping system is too much of a headache. Its much simpler and effecient to use third party shipping companies to ship for the products.

This is understandable. And whilst it can be a headache it can help to increase profit margins as well, especially if you are regularly shipping. Especially if it is international and comes to things like customs and so forth.

Well yes if the company has large in-flow of orders coming in , it can actually have an partnership to get discounts , and it always works , you need to save money in business to have profits , choose the reliable and cheapest company to have better profits for yourself

I think at first, you should use a third party shipping service cause it will need a lot of money. You may partner with a third party shipping service so ghat they may consider some discount. Then when you make some profits, you should try to start your own shipping service.

In the present situation of the restaurants and fast food here with order for delivery as the standard they are mostly availing of the existing delivery system like Grab and Lalamove. There are also independent delivery riders who offer their service. It is not easy to have your own delivery system for it entails expense in the build up.

It does have an added expense if you have your own delivery service however it can work out cheaper in the long run than using a third party. Especially if the delivery is close by.

It's not easy to answer such question, since it depends on your budget and your ability to micromanage your business. Most people use third-party service.

A third party service is a good thing however at the same time you hav to consider that you are covering the liability of the third party service that you are using as well.

To be very honest shipping and logistics is one of the most difficult and tricky businesses that I have ever encountered. If I am going to start a business today then I will definitely use a third-party courier service that is very well trusted among people.

The aim and goal of every business owners is to make profit, which means every decision made should be towards making more profits. You just have to make a research and find out which would save money. Though I noticed Most of these online stores tend to make use of local courier service. I guess that's the cheaper option. Having their own transportation system means they would have to paying drivers steadily, then there is also the maintenance of the car on a periodic basis. They would also have to buy vehicles needed for it, guess that's alot to add to the business.

That is definitely the main aim when it comes to any business opportunity that you are developing because the prophet that you are able to generate from the business venture is what is going to determine if you are able to sustain it for a long period of time and whether or not you will have the opportunity for future expansion.

I think when there is misunderstanding here all we still have to figure out is the outcome of the goods that is loaded if to handle it through shipping is the better idea, but to me I think shipping goods is not necessary and not acceptable to me.

Why do you think that it is not necessary if i may ask? If you look at people you will see that everyone to a certain extent just wants things that are convenient and therefore they will always look for ways that can be used in order to reduce the input that they require for any purchase that they are making.

Actually, I include shipping fee in my structure and it is left for the customer to decide if he or she wants to adopt that format or use a third-party shipping service. Although I practically still adopt a third party courier service from well know drop shippers.

Its not a bad idea if one has the capability it will only create another avenue in which one can make extra cash and it also help to organize the business and and also help to coordinate movement of goods to customers without any delay or disappointment.

Using a local courier service works best for me in my region and I don't have a problem with internal courier services. Locally also means cheaper fees for me and my customers. Packages are well wrapped and you can expect your parcel in 2 to 3 days, which is very good. Everyone can use their own courier services which fit their business!

It is a very good thing that you are actually providing them with the option of shipping because if people see that they do have the option to have the item delivered directly to them and they are likely to actually engage in this because it is a convenient way for them to actually purchase items online.
