❓ASK Should Bitcoin be teached in school ?

We all know how much BTC became popular .. but is it popular enough so teachers talk about in school ? Is it something that kids should learn ?

I think teachers should start introducing kids to Bitcoins. Many believed that Bitcoins will be the new currency in the future.

Bitcoins is so popular in less time so it is now time to aware people about bitcoins who don't know about bitcoins. Many countries have already accepted bitcoins as a payment in there markets.

I think it's a no, because teachers and kids will not be interested in knowing bitcoins.
Yeah but im not saying that only kids need to know about it. You know people who are 18+ and go to university they need to be aware of what bitcoin is.Its not too hard to understand so I think there are other useless stuff that are being taught in schools so I guess it won't be a big of a problem for bitcoin to be taught + its useful.

well i think it could be mentioned here and there just to open their eyes more about BTC and other Digital currencies as there is a big possibility that they will be the future so it will be good to teach about it, maybe not in depth tho

@duran.jessa19 it's 50/50 place, where one person/kid want, other no, but it's with all others lessons to!
I didn't like like 20% of plan that was taught, like would be happy to dive deeper in mathematical and no geographical at all :)
I mean, we all know that there are some useless stuff that some of the teachers teach . Its rare but yea. You would rather study something that you may be using every day instead of something that you wouldn't use .

I know some kids, who already know what Bitcoin is and are interested knowing and earning them online...We can't generalize, that kids don't know anything about Bitcoin...

If this is going to happen, then this should be a minor section of anyone studying economic and trading in school? It is funny that I dont even get to learn about PAYPAL in school, I wonder when is the time for bitcoin?

I dont see the point. I mean bitcoin is way too easy and plain to understand. It's just that you have to understand that bitcoin takes more effort. I think bitcoin may be good enough for short time now. In future we don't know how it is going to be a good option. I have learned that in thaat case only way to handle the bitcoin would be selling the same once it appears. because holding it for long may not be a good idea.

I think I read an article about bitcoins being introduced to kids in school (Australia, if I remember it right). If for simple awareness reasons then I think it would be nice but not necessary. Same thing why stocks, bonds, mutual funds etc are not taught to kids right.
Yeah but the thread is not just about kids . We are talking about 18+ people who go to university and study economy and stuff.I think there should be bitcoin lessons, something that would give them an overview of bitcoin apart from just knowing that its an cryptocurrency.

School systems always wait some 20 years for a technology to establish itself, then they jump on it like there is no tomorrow, and if this ever happens, it would be a mediocre programme with some cute pictures.
With some cute pictures ? Haha . I agree on that . I guess bitcoin has to get even more popular so schools decide to implement it but as you said even if they do then its gonna be with some easy to understand cute pictures xd

It's not necessary to teach bitcoins on school. Soon it will be widely known as payment system and Everyone will know about this without teaching them. But, regarding the potential efffect in dealing with bitcoin like investment, transaction must be thoroughly teach to everyone, since there are many scams out there that should be avoided.

Even some teachers are not familiar what Bitcoin is and how it works. I don't think it is a must. Unless you are already in college, and taking some finance course, Bitcoin can be discussed.
You are right XD You can imagine going to school trying to present what bitcoin is , or you are doing a project about bitcoin and all of a sudden the teacher/professor goes... "Wait, what is bitcoin ?"

I think for it to be taught in school it should have more number of years on marketing before being introduced to the school curriculum and also should have a good reputation

It is true.I think Bitcoin should be legally accepted in every country all over the world ,how it is dollar or euro accepted, because Bitcoin gained so much popularity and grown in value. But I think this will take time to happen.

I don't think there is any benefit from teachin it. because these currency may break the state currency eventually. so that's kind of bad in many ways. I hope things change over a period of time. I hope things change and we see something concrete in future on this.

Interesting point of view.Although I don't think that Bitcoin may harm to the present fiat currency.Maybe is getting Bitcoin stronger and stronger but I don't think this could do any harm.I think both currencies and Bitcoin can coexist together.

Possible and I agree. It can be incorporated into their lessons. It is part of the internet age there are new trends coming every day. That's how fast and amazing is today's age of technology. Good idea.

Yes,everyday appears something new in the world of technology. So the Bitcoin is trendy online and more people should know about it.Even if they don't buy Bitcoins to have in their wallet,at least it should be good to know what Bitcoin is.

Now I get. But I think only the first world country will have the capacity to implement such thing because they have the better technologies and more resources to begin with. Third world countries are always reluctant to new technologies and concepts, so it would take some time before they finally embraced the whole idea regarding bitcoin.
Thats definitely true.Modern countries might implement that but I don't see it happening on smaller undeveloped countries.I think they get the newest technology last. Its how it works for them.Same happens in my country.
