Shopify is a pretty popular way to start your venture into the field of E-commerce, and yet, the license is quite expensive. Woocommerce on the other hand, provides more freedom and customization options. Which one is your favorite? Share your thought about these two great eCommerce platform in this thread.

I personally go with shopify because there system is so good and secure also there support team, and I guess they are still giving 90 days free trials because of the corona virus pandemic so you have time to try it and decide without loosing money

This is absolutely true shopify is very secure there customer support system is also very good and in a good shape, i do most of my activities there

Yes the only thing that bother me is that they have somehow expensive hosting and also taking comission from your products selling, so I think I will not go for it directly

As expensive as the hosting package for Shopify is, it is not listed amongst the top 10 e-commerce sites currently with Amazon being the first, Esty number 4 and few others. Guess these sites has also over take woocommerce that rank the best as at 2018.

I prefer using Shopify because,you don't have to worry about server cost,Discounts are offered on annual basis and also reliable security. And also I don't really know about woocommerce.

Shopify isn't listed because Shopify is not a commerce website. It's more like a online store builder that enables you to make your own personalized online shop.

Shopify is an online store builder, while Woocommerce is an online store plugin for Wordpress-based sites. Unlike Amazon, Etsy, Ebay, both Shopify and Woocommerce do not give seller a place to sell their stuff on their platform.

I have not worked on shopify but have had a experience of woo commerce and found it a user-friendly and it is complete package for any e-commerce website.

Woocommerce is good but I prefer Shopify because it's very secure and wash to use and I heard they now give free trials because of the pandemic

Yes you are right Shopify now offer a free trial which is a great way to start your online business and with that I will choose Shopify over woocommerce

Shopify is very flexible in terms of freedom and they are secure to deal with try them and you won't regret it but as of woocommerce I've never tried or used it so I don't know anything about them

One thing I dislike about Shopify is that they are proprietary, not open source. Obviously, many businesses are the same, but by using Shopify it's like you become a slave to the company. On the other hand Woocommerce gives me better and complete control of my store.

It would not be a wise decision to go for shopify as a start up business with no direct plan on where you will source more funds in case your sells are lower than the money required to fund the store expenses.But of you have enough resources then shopify would be the best to start with provided you do not require complicated customization on your Website.

Well Yes Shopify Charges You Straight Forward But There Are Alternatives At Better Pricing As Well , When Starting Focus On Sales Using Facebook You Can Use The Budget Effectively That Way ..

Well, I do not personally work on the both Shopify and woocommerce yet, but I have a sister that is using the woocommerce and she is yet to complain about it.

If I am asked to choose between the two, I would go with Shopify, it is more popular and I have heard alot about it so I can be sure about it to some extent. My personal opinion would be that Shopify is better

I think a woo commerce website is better b cause you get to build it yourself and can work around with a more lower budget than with shopify which will lock your access to it's services if your subscription has expired.

I am building a woo commerce website and it has been demanding bit as for shopify I have just heard from people who have lost out because of struggling for subscription money.

So if you are a complete beginner it's best to start building a woo commerce website and quickly device a good plan to raise revenue.

Okay thank you for the information, that means the subscription fee is much if people are having issues with the subscription. What is your experience so far with woo commerce in terms of their services?
