For the first time ever, Shenzhen gas stations are allowing the use of digital yuan as a method of payment. So far 11 gas stations in Shenzhen are allowing the use of digital yuan. I believe that this means that the city is adopting the new built digital Yuan . This will make more people to use it as it is safer than carrying digital money around .

I think with the QR code and the scanner , one doesn't need an Internet connection for this type of scanning to occur. Is similar to scanning QR code using your phone .

yeah but that alone isn't secure enough to stop fake transactions so there must be more behind how it works or maybe they just try using security cameras to identify people using this method to steal money i guess that would sort of work too but it's definitely not enough

It is the users QR code that is scanned for the payment to be successful and not the shop owner thus the rate of scamming won't really be much with it .

but QR codes could easily be copied therefore people could steal other peoples money pretty easily which is why i'm saying that it's not secure enough i mean you can't just copy credit cards as easily you know

Wow thanks for the update , because I heard few weeks ago they they have created their digital coin and am happy people have start using it

It is true , this is why you QR code should be held in private the same way you bank pin or wallet key is to be kept secret.
Nevertheless , there is still concern for security here

No after scanning the qr code there would also be another verification like a pin to enter to confirm the transaction ,so that their won't use the opportunity
