Most of us like reading. We might have some books that we would not want to read any more in the future and won't like to keep at home due to space.

Other than donating them to the library, we can try to sell all these books online either via Amazon, Facebook group/page for getting some little pocket money.

Having said that, the seller has to consider the shipping charge incurred if the books are shipping oversea, if not the seller might lose money on paying the shipping fee which more than he/she earned from the deal.

Have you tried selling old books online before this? Was it a good or bad experience?

I am not sure if I will sell some of my books that survived. Some of my books were drown in flood and I feel sad about it. If I were to sell books, I will prefer those fiction ones because the remaining academic books I had, it bought it in expensive amount and I know I will be needing it for future references. Sadly, I haven't found a store that I could sell some of it.

I'm so sorry for replying thrice. My internet is like a turtle loading very slowly. I clicked the post reply thrice because my comment is not showing, only to find out I already posted 3. Sorry. I don't know how to delete it though.

I have tryed to sell some books that I dont use. I cant say it was a bad experience but it also cant say it was a good experience. It is very very hard to sell used books today because pretty much all the books you find them online in pdf . Also if you want to sell the books you can get like maximum 50% of their original price. Just a waste if time from my opinion

Forget that Amazon, personal shop apps, and eBay.
There is a new thing called the LetGo.
Install on the smartphone, click snaps, set price and sell.
You can set payment option in person or over the mail or the internet with a buyer.
Works great for local sales.

That's sound great! Any geographical location limit to the Let Go app? The Facebook group work well here as most of the citizen here have an account with Facebook.

I have several old hardcover books. The shipping and handling fees would be somewhat expensive to mail. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions. I just started with Mercari app, buying and selling Has anyone had any experience with that app?

You should let amazon do the selling for you. Amazon gets millions of visitors daily. You have a better chance to get sales or referrals on what you are selling.

Just wondering that do you have selling experience with Amazon? Would it help to find out the international shipping cost? I feel headache when come to this part, thus I only sell locally so far.

Don't handle international shipping when you'are starting. Instead enroll into Amazon FBA. This will take care of the international shipping on your behalf. You can see that when you are using FBA they take care of the shipping and other international taxes. you just have to keep the product into their store or warehouse. So the FBA is something you can take a look at as well. So in that

There must be some shop in your city that buys old books.
Here in my city there is a shop named as studentslibrary which sells as well as buy old books.
i think old books are better than new books we can make some money by selling old books and can even buy old books at low rate. There should be such kind of shop in every city.
selling on FB Amazon will cost the buyer a lot of shipping fee so he may not buy your books.

Never heard about this, old books as in any kind of buy or some listed book,if it any kind then I will really find out the process.I got a truck load of old books in my library.Do we need to pay some fees before selling or you just sign up and list your books. please house I will like to have some clarification.

Ebay, craiglist and few other apps work with old books. and for them it does not require much effor.t you just need some good people buying the old stuff. if they are going to buy that then surely it is possible to get some good conversion. i suggest starting with ebay. and then taking this higher. in future mayeb you can sell one on one too. but you need traffic from other places to get such leads.

I don't own any old books! I know a few websites where you can sell and buy your items, if you no longer need them. However, I don't really read that much so I haven't go the need to sell books. Though, I may have a few old books somewhere, I haven't had time to look.

Never heard about this that you can sell book onlines, so thank you for the idea. I have donated most of my old books before, other was sold for cheap price. Now I will consider this option, this is much better I think.

I think donating is a good idea but sselling them is even more bbetter. You can see that selling may not always be a good idea though. Some cases where books require to be donated or recycled for new is much better option. and on that point i guess let's just say some people need to make use of the sites like craiglist and others. if that can give them initial leads. it's a good option for many of people to earn some money.

Yes,there are many sites online, where you can sell old books.I think you have to submit the number of the book, that is at the back of the book, and the site will communicate at what price you can sell the book.

not only old books, but small gadgets like firelighter and coins from previous centuries can also be sold for a nice price and they can be available easily in your country, a lot of my friends used to sell old coins that are available in my country in ebay for a profit

Collectables , like old coins, old paper notes, old books with limited volumes and special edition yet in good shape is considered a collectables for some one, so can get a good price. Even an Old Apple PC sold a good price!

Buying-selling old book is best for locally.
I don't know any of the online sites where we can buy or sell old books. But i can say that, this is the great business in locally. We also trade books in our country.

Wow, I never knew a person can sell an old book, I thought since it's old one can just probably give it to his or her younger ones or better still give it to an outsider. I will surely look into this

I state that I do not like reading books, but this is not an argument.
But, nevertheless, I would like to specify that in my opinion, as always, just in case, should be the buyer to pay the shipping costs.
Are you agree?
Greetings.
