This is one of the professionals sites that is very picky about what they accept and pay for. You really need to know your stuff to write for this site. In my experience this is more for professional writers than people just starting out.

They look for more professional writers on this site. They are totally picky about spelling, grammar and usage of words. You really need to know your stuff to work for them.

This is an excellent site for professional writers. I think they would love it here and do well. If anyone has issues with being rejected or asking to rewrite what they've written then this isn't a site for them.

I think Sports, Travel, Politics etc can be used in Salon because they do not stop anything expect Fictious and Poetry. However no compromise of quality is to be taken care. And yes, when no one can join it, there is no question of asking to join, all users just have to take permission from the site and submit their content.

This is a typical blog site or website that the owners pay top dollar for fantastic articles. They don't pay out this type of money for 300 word articles that can't benefit anyone. On this site if you actually want to write an article for them you need to contact them and pitch your article. You have to follow their rules and they are strict. There is actually no researching to join the site because that isn't what this site is all about. It is about writing one or two articles now and then and being paid. Not a full time job or a way to work on it daily to make money. Yes, you can make money on this site, only if you submit a request, write your pitch and then write your article. It takes a bit of time, but if you like to write this shouldn't be an issue at all.

Had to checked out the site first before commenting,from the site information anyone can write in but the article must be a quality or standard one and error free,which I know too well no body will pay for a. Mediocre article.I believe if one picks a topic one is versed in then one can turn in a very great article.might give this a shot.

as per the payments this must be of the very high order. must need some high quality. i don't think i will be suitable there. just getting into writing through BMF. and getting some tutorial to write good articles through youtube. hope some day i will be able to get to that point.

I was always considering to make an online portfolio, but I've never needed one in the past. But as a new writer this is one way to display your work and when a site asks for writing examples it is easy to direct them to your online profile.
