As reported by Cryptonews, the Russian central bank has made ripple among the Russian crypto community when they claimed that the government-backed digitized Ruble will make any other cryptocurrencies no longer needed. So far, the central bank stance to crypto is not the good one since they're actively trying to get crypto banned in the Russia. Just a year after stated that the central bank had no interest in issuing a digitized-form of the national currency, Ruble the bank finally cave in and began developing one.

We share that same fear because those were my first thoughts while reading the news. I wonder what the impact of all these would be on the crypto world.

There would always be impact in the crypto world , it first started from China creating their own digital currency and creating means to ban crypto

if that's a better alternatives for russians and they are satisfied with it, then that might be true, they won't be in the need of any other crypto since they have one that's also equal to their own currency

Digital Ruble is only accepted in Russia. So I don't think this is going to be a great success.​

Eventually, Russia will be forced to implement changes, when they see the popularity and demand for Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies worldwide.

Instead of striving to eradicate crypto currency without creating and alternative, the central bank of Russia has shown creativity by coming up with an alternative. If the digital ruble can be used like crypto this might actually work as acceptability would be almost instant at least within the Russian population

When I think this will after cryptocurrency usage there because they will enforce it on the citizens , however the digital rubble will lack the volatility that makes cryptocurrency lovable

Ofcourse they will make their own digital Currency which they control and force people to use it instead, I don't like it. So what's the difference between that and physical coin? The use outside their country will be limited. Unlike worldwide cryptos that u can use any where.

That's just it . Bitcoin can only affect the economy when it is used as the country currency. Less Bitcoin and blockchain will go a long way in improving the economy

Maybe Russia isn't just in a stable situation to accept anything digital. I just read about its stands on accepting cryptocurrency and now it is digital ruble. They need more information

There really should be no issues having the digital version of their fiat side by side with crypto. Crypto is not their legal tender, so no one is forced to use it as it is just an alternative though a better one if I must say.

I think if the government havent witnessed crypto , maybe until they see the importance , that is when they would welcome the importance of crypto curency

Even with that, it's not possible for the digitized currency to replace cryptocurrency.

The strong suit of crypto is it's decentralized nature, which that currency will not have.

I think its always their decision to use it and no one is going to force them to use it because the have and could make decision for their country themselves

The ironic part of the whole thing is that banning crypto use in the various countries would not stop their leaders from making investments in crypto.
