According to The New York Times, Ripple's former CTO Stefan Thomas cannot access the hardware wallet IronKey, which contains 7,002 BTC, due to forgetting its password . Stefan Thomas, who made 8 unsuccessful login attempts, reportedly had only two attempts left to find the password for her wallet.
I think the chances are pretty low. Do you think she can find the password?

Quite a lot of money for small investors like us and many people. 8 attempts were wrong and only 2 remaining trials indicate that the job was too difficult.

This is a really gross mistake. Except it's been years, such large sum of bitcoin should not be left in one wallet, in my opinion.

Spreading it helps if you forget your keys.

I could not agree any less. I am guessing that she probably had those bitcoins when the value was still low, if not, she would have treasured those keys and probably used several wallets.

7002 BTC. That is a huge sum of money. That is why I don't like hardware wallet and online wallet. If it is offline / paper wallet he used, it would have been easier to withdraw his coin

Try passwordmaster69.
Sometimes people are just dumb, safely storing large amount of money while refusing to write the f down the passcode on paper only because "eh my brain have the capacity to memorize simple things"

It is quite sad to read this . This has confirmed that both online and offline wallets have their pros and cons . I hope she remembers the right password .

It will probably come in other news regarding this. Like you said, I hope her luck helps her, it goes well. The fact that she has the last 2 rights shows that her job is actually difficult.
