According to the Australian Financial Review's report, Australian Federal Reserve financial systems manager Michelle Bullock said there was a lot of fuss over Bitcoin.
Bullock said:
--- "Bitcoin is not a payment instrument and not real money. There is a lot of fuss about using Bitcoin as a security. "---
What do you think of the Australian Central Bank's statement on Bitcoin?

I absolutely do not agree with these thoughts. I think all individuals have the right to say what they believe, but the right not to agree with what they say is a right of the other people.

I strongly disagree with him. How come it is not real money when lots of merchants are now accepting bitcoin as payments?

What is money? Before the fiat we all know was created people are using their produce to trade between people for their needs then comes coins which consists gold and other valuable metals. Let's say that actually have the value. But paper? What is the value of paper anyway? People mist also be skeptical about it when it was first introduced.

It is a liquid assett and highly fragile to hamdle as oppsees to a physical asset. It has built its power and recognition based on speculation. It's more less like an asset that can come to extinct one day.So we can not really protect it as if it can't have a chance to seize to existence of which it can.

People will always hold diverse views about crypto currency still tomorrow so it is what it is. But I know a time will come where all of these will be clarified but for now we have to keep living with diverse views

Not the first and won't be the last. Just ignore them, a lot of people mock crypto because they don't understand it or they are too late to get profit from it.

To me, any means of exchange is money and Bitcoin is more of that than anything. Declaring it as not real won't change the facts.
First of all, I want you to know that I have the same thoughts as you. There are apparently a lot of people with different thoughts and many other officials who think differently. For some reason, there is no consensus on this issue.

Of course bitcoin is not a real money because it is not official a legal tender in any country because of its decentralized nature. It however is money nonetheless because it is being accepted as means of payment for purchase of goods and services.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. If it isn't money to them then good for them. For me it's real money and a good way of investing my money into it

No bitcoin is just like a liquid asset and it can be easily convertible into cash i think. So bitcoin is still like a digital form of cash , i don't understand him

As a small investor, I no longer care about discussions on this topic. It seems that countries and country officials will not be able to come to any consensus on this issue.

If they dont resolve the issue it dosent concern as fast as they don't actually ban crypto currency because that would be a very bad thing

There will hardly be a time that everybody will have the same view on bitcoin or any other crypto currency.
But I believe that in no time, it will be more accepted. I know a time will come where all of these will be clarified but for now we have to keep living

This statement is white not true. Bitcoin has a lot of adoption and usage so it is definitely real money because you can buy anything with it. people need to come to the terms that bitcoin has come to stay.

Right.. it's real and being accepted in some businesses and company.. also some.country fully adopted it already.. to say it's not real is just plain nonsense

I see the statement as hypocritical. Saying that something worth over $50,000 per coin is not real is either ignorance or hypocrisy.

Well you know.. most of the people who says this are people of the banks.. probably threatened it will make their business suffer if crypto currency got adopted well
