Hi , I have an unverified PayPal account , and I used to receive payments in it normally , but about some months ago , I could not receive paymets anymore
So I want to know if the PayPal policy changes and they don't send paymets to unverified accounts or it's just me ?!
And also I want to verify my account knowing that I don't have a credit card

@Mr. B I suggest that you make an announcement , and call the members to download the PayPal app and rate it 1 stars and say that they will change to a different payment system !
If a 1000 members at least do this , PayPal might think about it and might reduce the fees a little

Paypal is a behemoth in the field of international payment processor. Even if we somehow manage to make one million people sign a petition to Paypal, demanding them to reduce their price they won't listen, ever. They just never cared about their consumers. Hell, they even once froze the account of a certain charity foundation in UK.

the thing that is boggling my mind is why people keep using it knowing that it is such a crappy company , I mean if all custumors cease from using their services , the cmpany will suffer huge losses ?! and why there is no alternative company that makes better or similar services ?!

Because they're the oldest, most widespread and most used payment processor in the whole world. Take Ebay for example, if you sell something there, the only way for you to get paid (in most countries anyway) is through Paypal. This is because Paypal owns Ebay. Cryptocurrency is the future and key here, sadly their volatility and relatively newcomer in the digital payment processor makes some people reluctant to use them.

i have a business account on paypal i did this on purpose so i will shoulder the service charge for all my customers when they pay for domain names, ssl, hosting and some script installation and programming.

An update regarding Paypal fees, what is going on guys :Jawdrop:??
I haven't used Paypal for a while and I had some funds received today, just to notice the fee was almost $20. Paypal sucks big time.
Since when they have such big fees anyway? They were the best, now seems that it changed to be the worst. :Vomit:

... and other PP users too: I guess you are not the only ones making a bad experience with this arogant and greedy american sh*t company, just look at Trustpilot etc., you will see almost nothing better than complaints in last months. It's time to make a change, let americans bullying themselves with their crappy and annoying services. We have crypto, who needs those intrusive companies anymore?

I too have issues with PayPal, PayPal restricted Nigeria from receiving funds and that is really frustrating as PayPal is widely used across different websites but still I managed to open a PayPal account through American Emirates link I have verified it but have not added a debit card or a bank account as I do not have any of these.

I tried receiving money from a site but it said I have to be verified and I cannot receive money from that site. If anyone can help I will be grateful

Yes, more and more paid to sites require Paypal verification. The point is, if you don't reside in the country where you opened your Paypal account, there's no way to bound a bank account or prepaid card. You need a bank account or prepaid card of the country where your account is settled. At least, that's the way Paypal works in Europe and Latin America and I'm quite sure they don't change too much their policy elsewhere. I hope more people can answer about your issues. Meanwhile, try if there are payment processors different than Paypal working in Nigeria (for ex. Payoneer?).

You are absolutely correct , you can't be in country A where you opened your PayPal and use the country B card to link your card to PayPal. Payoneer is working fine in Nigeria. We don't use PayPal.

Thanks for taking your time to explain to me. Well I have opened a Payoneer account and it is not restricted in Nigeria but you will agree with me that PayPal is the most widely used payment method in the world and a lot of website uses PayPal as their only means of payment.
I am at a disadvantage here when it comes to such site but if there is light at the end of the tunnel then there is a way. I might consider using someone's else PayPal to withdraw but the person gets his own share.

Anyways thanks for your reply, it was helpful mate

Be careful friend, you must really trust the person whose Paypal account you think about to use. I know Paypal is the most widely use payment method, but here another tip: I rarely have used Paypal as payment method, as I prefer by far to only receive money from the platform where I work and then withdraw to bank account as quickly as possible. You can do the same with Payoneer: withdrawals to your bank account instead of leaving the money in the processor. You can also ask for the Payoneer prepaid card (for withdrawals), if available in Nigeria.

Payoneer card can be shipped to Nigeria, it is also very important that one is extra careful with PayPal because they are too strict with their terms .

Wow thanks again. Your post contains lot of value and I am learning from it and I guess other members are too
Keep up the good work

If there is any questions I do like to ask about PayPal and it's services it will be why PayPal has continuously refused to grant some countries access to it's full service

Payoneer has very wide approach in asian and african countries. But I am afraid the acceptance is getting lower these days, as I can see only few sites are accepting this payment processor now a days.

Even I also have verified account in paypal, but the balance here automatically gets transfered to my bank balance which is very annoying foe me, as I want to hold my currency in the wallet.
That is one of the reason that I don't like PayPal. If an account is not verified, the owner might loose the account one day. I have got my PayPal account with fund banned.
