Before some months, i used reddit for some promotional purpose, and from what i experienced, the results were actually amazing, one of the reasons why promoting things on reddit is great :
1- the upvote/downvote system : thanks to the upvoting/downvoting system, your post can be ranked either in the top of the browsing list or the down of it, if you are good at writing and manage to write good with everything organized, then you're most likely to have your posts in the top always, which means it will reach more people, also that revokes the chance for trash posts to stay in the top .
2- posting cooldown : you can't spam posts in reddit, thanks to the 14 minutes cooldown, after certain posts, you will have to wait for the 14 minutes to expire before posting again .
3- kind of mature userbase : less chance to find kids that don't know anything about some domains, and more chance to find mature and grown people that interact with what you are posting .
4- strict punishements : if you are banned from a sub-reddit, you can still have the ability to browse it but not post in it, but if you get caught evading that ban, your account will be banned from the whole reddit .
5- not a popular platform for advertising : less competition and better chances for you .

However, there's a small con that i experienced, is that there are a lot of scam attempts that you should pay attention to, they are usually so obvious, but they can still be avoided easily .

Thanks for the info, I didn't know about this one. Does the cooldown apply for the whole site or just certain subreddit though?

So, even on Reddit there are scammers everywhere?

, even on Reddit there are scammers everywhere
Unfortunately yes, but they are kind of beginners in scamming since they aren't convincing enough or picking the wrong victims lol, here's an example :

Yeah there are scammers everywhere , most comments on the platform do advertise scams sites and its better someone pays attention on only what he came to read on the site

actually no, you can't find scams in the comments, because the moderation there is better than even facebook, and they have active moderators for each subreddit

Not all subreddits are heavily moderated tho, and if you're patient enough simply wait until the mod/admin go to sleep and then it's post time!
that doesn't always work, since some subbredits dont allow you to post in them if they find out that there is something suspicious and then moderators have to check what content you are posting to approve it

If there's a will, there's a way. You can take some extra steps like "bribing" the mod to let your post pass the moderation queue without too much hassle.

Even here on bmf most times scam link are been posted by newbies , only that the admin is active and when he sees it in few min he delete it , those moderator's on reddit aren't robot they may take a slight rest ,then spammers do their job before been caught

You didnt get my point, promoting scams in comments is way different than promoting a website in a subreddit post, if the website is scam, it will be most likely deleted or downvoted by the members so it doesnt appear at all for new people

You can't know who's moderating a subreddit unless you dig in the comments and find him commenting there, also when you request to talk to a moderator, the message get sent to all moderators at once

I made a post about beermoneyforum on two subreddits
I didn't know that beermoneyforum forum was already posted
In one subreddit the post was just deleted
On the other I got a permanent ban , LOL

The one I wrote earlier on is promoting a website that is scam , yeah if its the website is a scam it will be removed or deleted , what I was just talking about is the time frame

Actually No, reddit doesn't support posting of links in some of their threads else they ban your account.
BMF is good too provided that you don't post spam or scam links.
My thoughts tho.

Reddit is very strict when talking about spam
They have auto-moderator bots that delete anything suspicious
So e subteddits ban you for just one violation
I was banned from r/beermoney for posting about beermoneyforum which was already posted !

This look interesting way for marketing, but I dont think it can be any big succes.. I will try with my affiliate offer to see what will happen, but I dont think there can be any big results.

Reddit has auto moderation tools that will detect your affiliate offer links the moment you post it. They won't like that and will delete your comment/post before even it goes public. You must find a way to circumvent it somehow.

I did not know promotions are made via Reddit, I have been receiving tons of mails from them even though I don't seem to know much h about them.
the emails that you are receving are more like the posts that are in the trend in some sub-reddits, not a big deal, you also receive emails about notifications

Thanks for the information.
How does reddit works ? Is it an article writing site , and is it available to all the countries ? What of their payment method .will love to join the site if I can get these answers.

reddit is more like everything, a communication forum with a lot of subbredits ( basically what reddit uses instead of calling them sections), and full of communities that are about different topics
