Prolific a great survey site.

Just a quick heads up about this site that I'm not sure you know about as I haven't seen it mentioned on the forum yet.

The site is a survey site but it's got a twist in that the surveys and questions you get asked, are from Universities around the world and your answers go towards helping students complete their studies.

It's a UK based site, but as far as I know, it's open to international subscribers, and for the last 6 months I've cashed out around £50 a month and I don't think that's too bad. Payment is to a verified PayPal account, and the minimum cash out is only £5.

I don't know if anyone is interested but PA are offering Circle as a payment option now since Paypal charges have increased. It is completely free and the money was in my bank within 24 hours of receiving it in my circle account and requesting withdrawal to my account. I didn't lose a penny.

I have been doing surveys at Prolific for a while now. the pays rates are fairly low but better than MTurk etc. You get offered surveys being used for academic research. So instead of commercial products it might be about attitudes, beliefs, or how you assess various situations. Prolific is based in the UK but open to all English-users. i have had several payouts to Paypal.

I tried to join this site but unfortunately this website is not global and do not accept members from all countries. They claim that they do want to become global again and I hope that they do it soon.

I'm worried about the "verified paypal" rule, where my Paypal account has no credit card or anything linked to it.. as I don't have any (yet). But, well, let's still try this out, who knows.

I signed up for this website few weeks ago but haven't got any studies or surveys yet. Or is it even available here in the Philippines? Or they only provide studies in US or UK?

Ohh I see. Thanks for the info, I just checked FAQs and I don't see PH listed there. So I think it's not applicable here in the Philippines then.

That's so bad though as many of those websites are restricted only to developed countries only. That's not fair. I hope that ProlificAcademy becomes global.

Exactly! Well, maybe I'll just have to wait. Who knows they will be open globally anytime soon.

I have registered succefully, I am from Malaysia. Anyway, I didn't get any task from the site more than 3 months registered.
I think I got to check if my country is listed or not.

They just don't have surveys for people outside USA. That's all!

You do need to keep checking for studies as they don't email you, and sometimes they only require a small number of people too. Fill out the demographics honestly as they do check up on them.

Thanks I will check that but are they accepting members from India and paying them? Have you earned anything from this website till now? Do share you more insights with us, how much time it took you to earn?

They do accept members, but you must verify with a phone number or via Facebook. I do live in the UK so I may get more studies due to my demographics, and it depends on the studies available, but I cash out £20 usually once a month.

Thanks, 20 pounds a month is a good amount like equal to about 1600 INR if pound is at INR 80. I will check that soon. Hope i qualify for some studies as i am disappointed with some websites which haven't qualified me for much surveys.

I think I've mentioned this somewhere before, but for me, coming from Eastern Europe, this has been the only survey site having surveys, and if it works for me it will likely work for anyone else with internet access.

Althought the surveys are provided by university associate (mostly), one doesn't have to be a uni student to participate in those surveys. As for whether a country or a region is out of luck with them, they do have a list of countries who they deal with. I think the only way to find out if one's country is in that list is to ask them via email.

Since most surveys are to do with research other than of marketers', there will likely be less surveys after the end of an academic year, because... well, I think, for obvious reasons, depending of the region (some cultural region might have different layout for university schedules or whatnot).

I have been a memebr of prolfic academy, I live in an Asian country and my surveys are too little. But I canssure you guys that this is a legit site. You just have to qualify to some of their studies. People living in 1st world countries tend to get more studies from them

It was probably the best paying survey site for me, I've earned more than £50 in just 3 months and most surveys are really short and pay usually £1-£2.
But sadly they changed the rules and banned most countries.. so now I can't earn there. They stated that in the future more countries will be allowed again but I doubt that.
I guess if your country is banned like mine you can still earn from referring other people - you get 10% from their first payment which is not bad.

I just found this site a few weeks ago (referral link below), that I've been doing surveys through.

These are research surveys done by colleges and universities from all over, and other places as well. They cover a wide variety of topics such as how well you like your boss and work environment, to how you would react to weather alerts as you travel, and I'm sure there's lots more.

Most of the surveys are short, and they tell you how much you'll get paid to do the survey and how much time you are allotted to complete it (as well as what the average time to complete the survey is).

You are paid in GBP to Paypal (which will then convert it to USD at no charge). The minimum cash out is $5 (but you have to pay a small fee of 1.5%). If you let it build up to $20, then the fee is waived.

I've cashed out about $15 to my Paypal account with no issues.
