Prolific a great survey site.

Just a quick heads up about this site that I'm not sure you know about as I haven't seen it mentioned on the forum yet.

The site is a survey site but it's got a twist in that the surveys and questions you get asked, are from Universities around the world and your answers go towards helping students complete their studies.

It's a UK based site, but as far as I know, it's open to international subscribers, and for the last 6 months I've cashed out around £50 a month and I don't think that's too bad. Payment is to a verified PayPal account, and the minimum cash out is only £5.

I signed up for it yesterday, but unfortunately I wasn't eligible to join any of their surveys. I think you're more likely to be eligible if you're located in the UK or US. I'll definitely check it out regularly though, as it seems like a nice way to earn some extra cash.

I loved this one, I had maybe 2 surveys and they paid well. It's unfortunate that due to my location, I am unable to really rely on them since surveys that I am eligible for are so far in between.

I have Prolific Academic and lately no new surveys have appeared to me. But they're a really nice website, with a nice pay per survey and a low cashout minimum ($5), so I really recommend it.

I have an account with Prolific Academic actually. But to be honest, I've only gotten two surveys from the site since I joined it September last year. And that isn't good enough, right? It's such a shame because the surveys from the site are quite interesting and different from the usual surveys. I loved answering the surveys even though it did take some time.

I haven't logged into my account there for a while now simply because it's a waste of time for me. I don't get even just weekly surveys. Maybe people from the UK or US get more surveys than people from Asia. I haven't even reached the minimum payout threshold yet since I got very few surveys.

But I would recommend the site to anyone living in the US or UK. The surveys are well-done and you won't get bored answering them. Plus, you're helping students out with their studies as well when you participate in the site.

Two surveys from September last year? Wow I didn't know it's that dry for people outside US or UK. I've signed up to the site last month and I still haven't got any surveys yet. I've completed every single information needed about my profile but I still got nothing. Man, it's good to be a US citizen sometimes.

£50 a month, right now I know why I'm not getting any more offers, all the money goes to you. This used to be a great beer money earning site for me, until a few months ago, I don't exactly know how much, probably more than 6, I haven't been able to see a survey available for me since then, I've logged in periodically, but nothing, just dry. Also I've earned about £30 from my beginning on this site, it's crazy to hear that some are earning £50 a month.

I created an account there about 4 months ago and haven't been able to complete a single study yet. During this time period I received exactly 2 emails notifying me that a study was available that I could take. For the first email I simply said to myself "cool, I'll do this once I go home", of course, when I tried to take it all the spots were taken. I was unaware of the fact that so few spots were available for each test so the second time an email arrived I was entering the page after 15 minutes and guess what? All the spots were filled in less than 15 minutes! How on Earth can you compete with guys that enter the study as soon as they receive an email? I guess they have some kind of alert system in place but I don't check my email that often to be able to enter a site with only a 15 minutes period warning time.

People that actually manage to complete studies there are happy since it is the best paying beer money site as far as I know.

I created an account a month ago and I only got a single study. Nothing more. This would have been a great opportunity if it would actually have worked for people outside US or UK too, but we got used to see privileged countries get whatever they want, as usual.

I have taken a few surveys so far from Prolific Academy. I think I have 3.05 in my account, so I will need a few more surveys to cash out. It is an OK site, I guess I would be happy if I got to cash out every other month. The surveys are interesting, and it doesn't take up much of your time to do.

I really like this website, it is legitimate and the surveys are quite interesting. I also think I may never have the chance to cash out because the surveys are so rare, I just need a few more to cash out. I wish they had more surveys available for people living in Asia.

For everyone that's struggling with getting the surveys, whatever you do, DON'T rely on the emails they send out to notify you of a survey being available, as by the time you've read it and logged on, the survey will have been filled and won't be there anymore.

Tip number 2...all the surveys are only available to a set number of people so its a case of whoever is fastest at getting there. On the screen where the surveys are, it will automatically show the message that you aren't eligible for any surveys, but keep refreshing your browser, or clicking on the studies tab and let it load up again. I refresh that page about 10 times an hour and the studies do appear so just keep trying and as soon as your eligible for 1, click and accept it straight away as other people will also be wanting it so you need to be quick

I regularly get to take part in between 4 and 6 surveys a day, but I am from the UK so that might make a difference, but wherever you're from, try those tips I've just give, and see if that helps. I hope it does, because when you get on a roll with it, you can earn decent money.

A study that needs 500 participants, fills up in around 10 minutes so to earn anything on this site like I have, you need to check regularly. If you're unable, or dint want to, then maybe the site isn't for you?

I usually check right when I get an email, because I don't want to clutter my browser with tabs. As of right now, I have the prolific tab open on my screen and have since last night, and I've been checking periodically. Like I said before, though, I usually check when I get an email from them which isn't often. I also have it bookmarked.

You gave great advice, I will regularly check on it now. I was relying on emails about surveys being available only to end up not being eligible for them. You earned quite a lot, that is almost a return flight to Thailand and that is an incentive for me to keep going at it. Thank you for the advice.

I was considering trying this website, but I've heard you need an .edu email address to use it. Is it still the case, or can I just use a normal address?
Nonetheless, it looks like a very solid survey website. What are they usually on? Could they be more interesting than the ones that get usually posted somewhere else?

I love the surveys they have on this site, I just wish there were more available to go through. I just cashed out with them but it took me over two months because the surveys were slow in coming in. I love the site though so I am going to continue with them.
