Product Review Blog Post Checklist - What do you do after you've published a blog with affiliate links?

Hypothetical question. You choose a product from an affiliate vendor. You choose to write a blog post with a CTA to visit the affiliate link.

You could do a quite good job of the post or could be a load of ? ~ this is irrelevant.
What I wanted to ask other marketers on here is do you use a blog post checklist.

If so especially if it is product reviews what do you do with your published post after?

For me ~ here is my usual ritual:

Spelling check.
Set up linkable menu
Image SEO
Maybe add 1, 2 images I've done on CANVA
Share on my FB Business page, Twitter and Pinterest
Submit to Bing Webmaster and Google Search Console
Share on Mix, Pocket and Flipboard
Share on Reddit and sometime Quora
I also share with my Youtube discussion thread

I have dabbled in paid ads but just curious what other bloggers do. Would be great to share some ideas.

You are doing the right thing but you still have to do more than that network with other bloggers, and also try to monitize your blog by using Google Adsense. Finally join forums and comment on the nitches that are related to your forum, when you comment you include your blog URL under to our comments

I think you said it all. Link sharing is my best method and there are many mediums you can use.
Forum postings is also great but you're likely to be banned if you like sharing links often.
But can you please explain SEO to me?

Wow.. You did what almost top rank blogger do. Maybe you could add more social media like tiktok which now become more trending then twitter and facebook, even youtube (that is what happen in my country)
Great job man...
Hope can follow your blog..

Hi Thanks for commenting. Yes I agree I just got a new plugin called Sassy Social Share that I will be using moving forward so hopefully that might help me crank things up. Also, I've added the Pinterest Add On to my web browser and I am pinning pictures as often as possible. As for your question about SEO so yes I can try my best to explain;

On my website I have the Yoast SEO plugin. Thislet's me choose my main keyword, edit my SEO title and meta description plus also indicates if my keyword has appeared enough times, if my images have the right alt tags and other useful things that help.

Also using a mixture of internal and external links. At least one high DA link per article such as wikipedia. It also helps to keep people engaged the longer they spend on your page the higher google will rank. 1 Youtube video is good for this butdont add anymore because of pagespeed.

The other thing is tools you can use CO Schedule for coming up with a good SEO headline. Try and choose something that will make people want to click on your post. The other tool is Jaaxy which I use to select my keywords. On here I use something called the 100/100 rule - over 100 traffic and under 100 QSR - quoted search results.

I'm not exactly flying so high at the moment but it can take time sometimes for articles to rank. Although one last tip is to submit your URL to google search console for faster indexing. Hope this helps

Hi Silentwatch, Yes just added a plugin called Sassy Social Media Icons loads of different ideas from there. TikTok I have an account just not figured out how to use. Also, great to hear you would like to follow my blog. If you send me your email address I will add you to my email list. It's still being developed but I think it has the RSS linked so it shares new posts when there published. Big plans for this so if I can have you will be great thanks.

Just to add guys;

Set up linkable menu - instead i'm using a plugin called Easy Table of Contents
for image SEO i'm specifically tailoring my alt tags for the visually impaired.
Also I got the Pinterest Add on and every image that I think is good enough to pin in my content is getting pinned.
Oh, and I have started to be a bit more forward thinking with my tags. Using them to link to other posts that are related. I made quite a mess of this before but this I've read is good for SEO too.

Drive traffic to the site using various social media sites like Pinterest and others or you can do paid ads to drive traffic to the blog

Whatever you do first, always check for spelling mistakes and Grammarly errors. Most people will just leave your site if they find a single spelling mistake or grammatical error. It is something like a brand image, if you fail to proofread your content, then it is deemed to fail.

The next task is - SEO and other optimization, such as images and videos.

Your blog post checklist is good. I do some of the similar things. You should share on Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin also. And make sure post is free from grammatical errors also.

Publishing a blog is not enough. It is just the starting point. There should be a way of letting people know what our blog is all about. This can be done after the errors have been corrected just like the other members said. Then we need to make sure we make effective use of social media to market our blog.

I think that it would be a great idea to start a website about product reviews. What's quite fantastic about this idea is the fact that there are several platforms that also pay you to review and check products. You can review products and create a blog. In fact, you can even create a Youtube channel as well and make extra money. @Xrin Nightfall @Potuse @Wisdom01

It's a good way to get traffic , because based on my observation many that want to buy a product like finding reviews before purchasing that particular product , so they would always go to search about the product first on the internet to have more understanding about it

After you've published a product review blog post with affiliate links, there are several things you can do to maximize your earnings. Make sure to promote your blog post on social media and through email marketing.
