Duckduckgo, a search engine that claimed that they are privacy focused has announced a new initiative for better privacy control. The effort, called global privacy control, has been launched in cooperation with several other organizations such as The New York Times and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Currently, it's still in beta, but they're hoping this would increase the security and comfort or internet users knowing that they will be able to retake their privacy soon.

This is a nice move by this company and I believe that it aims at bringing users to them but then Google has taken over as the best search engine, they need more strategy to compete with them

That is a search engine every internet surfer looks forward to. Privacy has been an issue in the internet space, so this is a very nice innovation.

But won't they launch ads to earn more cash or what's their initiative going to be ,since they can't keep the privacy on a scale of 100% that's just it

It's still in early stage. Besides, so far Duckduckgo survives by using donation so ads is not mandatory.

Oh I never knew it was run by the used of donation because I know that using ads will cause and it's part of the privacy issues

not sure if this would be enough for them to go even with google, as when I use both search engines I'm kinda more satisfied with using google, though who knows they might be taking small steps at a time and might eventually go even with google

I'm using more of duck browser now. Google had been crashing anyhow on my phone which I don't why. So this better privacy control is a bonus for us the users

I guess i would still have to try this search engine and see how it goes ,and i think the privacy control would really be more active if you are not using a chrome browser

Then you may ñeed to try it out first you might find it very useful especially if you are the type that needs your privacy online. It one nice browser one can use .
