❕NEWS Pressure on the laws regarding data sharing may force Facebook to quit Europe

As reported by the Guardian, Facebook is known for its weak privacy protection and constant robbery of consumers' private data, and Europe ready to combat this. In July, the European court of Justice has concluded that there were insufficient privacy protections against data farming regularly conducted by Facebook. Facebook is also known as a spying platform used by several US-based intelligence agencies to monitor everyone who use the platform. In order to combat this the court has decided to put in effect a law that restrict or even ban data sharing with US. In response to this, a Facebook spokesman has said that this law may force Facebook and Instagram to quit European market.

Thanks for sharing this news. Wow, it would affect their market isn't it ? Not sure how much, I think Asia's market is bigger for Facebook and Instagram. But really, Facebook should really check their platform, it's illegal to spy someone and other countries should take preventive action too if facebook not improve their data safety.

Asia has more people than Europe but Europe is also richer. Besides, Facebook is blocked in China so Asia is not that big of a market for FB.

This is nothing new. Facebook has been caught spying on people multiple times. In fact, they earn the most from selling people's private data. If they don't do that they will have to lay off many workers.

Thats absolutely true...if Facebook can improve their privacy for that not to happen..that means automatically no one details is safe there...so wrong to spy on people...

They won't improve their security for privacy since they intentionally sell people's data to advertisers. That's one way how they get money.

The response of Facebook spokesman shows that indeed Facebook has long been involved with data leakage , otherwise they shouldn't have issue with the policy

Exactly my first thought on reading his response. To even think they have no qualms taking business out of Europe because they aren't allowed to leak data any more.

Yeah . They just exposed themselves indirectly with that claim . This is why I barely use Facebook these day because of their privacy issues .

Well, I'm with the authority on this. This is a breach, it either we are secured or they quit. Personally I like my privacy so I don't want any app spying on me or stealing my data. This is so wrong

I so much agree with you and will surely pick my privacy over anything else being offered by any app. I doubt if Facebook is bothered about how wrong it is.

Nope they care less not when they are stealing people's data and infringing on people privacy to their advantage. They totally care less about what anyone thinks

I dont think there is anything that can make facebook leave europe they are very strong mackzugerbag is very smart
Data sharing and leakages are some of the ways Fb makes huge money, if denied that, then he will surely find another avenue to make money if he decides not to leave Europe

Nah, like the news said, Facebook will leave Europe if the law on data privacy is enforced. They won't even look at alternative streams of revenue. Ads alone won't cut it.

This isn't cool at all , because if they would be banned and leave Europe it would really affect their revenue , since most big advertisers are from these countries

I really even doubt fb will like to leave Europe, I believe they will stop the issues they are accuse of and makes little profit than outrightly letting go totally. Devising even a new means might be their new step

The issue will be hard to solve because those private data are been used by them to advertise , they just can't do without it or unless they stop displaying ads

Displaying ads is one of their mayor ways of making money so stoping ads for them might be difficult but then stealing people's data too isn't cool

I am very sure they might leave if the policy is implemented because this isnt Africa where they could bribe their way through , it would be more difficult

This your message about Africa is sad but true. I wish we can emulate the rest of the world and start selling ourselves so low and for peanuts too.
