Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi, the deputy head of power generation and transmission company of Iran (Tavanir) has confirmed the news that the Iranian government has given approval to grant licenses through the Ministry of mines and trade to power plants in Iran that meet up the requirements and follow approved tariffs set by Crypto currency mining centre.

Iran has subsidized electricity traffic to the miners to enable them mine effectively.

That's kinda unprecedented and crazy. Guess Iran does want to be the next crypto mining powerhouse. I wonder how cheap the electricity there.

I once posted a thread where miners pay very little, if I could still recall accurately it is between $0.01 to $0.1 per kilowatt electricity.

The Iran, Thailand and Russian government have officially legalized and back Crypto currencies so they provide necessary support because they will in turn generate revenue.

They are already making arrest of illegal miners, guess their security is still yet to be compromised so they easily track illegal miners .

If this is the case , then it is a good move towards protecting the mining previllege from being abused by illegal miners .
Now is opportunity for Iran miners to make it from mining

Those are good news, finally people will be allowed to mine without any issues or without being afraid to be caught, also they help the economy if they pay taxes

Is mining considered to be illegal in some areas? I would have believed that mining would be okay in states that allow crypto...

well this is good news for both the miners and the government, and I think also to the blockchain community as we will have more miners transaction fees might get reduced

I believe the will be paying tax since government has reduced the cost of electricity for them , which is usually one of the major challenges facing mining .
More over government approved it because they know that they will benefit from tax .

It is better they pay tax and pay for license then mine in a convenient environment with stable power supply than to mine illegally and their business will be at risk.

That's even better, both of the sides will benefit from that, you work in peace and legal with no issues, and the governement benefits from your taxes

The continuous rise in the Crypto currency activities in Russia despite the government initial order to prohibits it made the government to reserve it order and legalise it because they will make money from issuing of licences and the likes

Yea . government will never give their support to any business that they can gain from . I hope that the tax will also be moderate , so that the miners will enjoy maximum profit .

If the have enough enough electricity to accommodate more miners they could less the tax to encourage more miners to get them more revenue to their purse.

hope the government doesn't really overdo things like tax and stuffs so that the miners could operate for long and that would be good for everyone

taxes are more than fine, because you are still protected and working in a legal environment, just like any employee, of course the taxes will differ depending on your earnings

If the miners are to be tasked based on their earning , it means that the government will have them under surveillance in order to know what each miner earns .

that's a lot better than paying a stable amount of taxes no matter how much you earn, because sometimes you won't be even able to pay what the taxes cost

I guess its good the government are creating avenue for miners ,and if more is been done it will help the people a lot and those taxes been paid can generate more revenue
