News gathered from news.blockchain reveals that Benjamin Diokno , Governor central Bank of Philippine has directed for further research with respect to the Philippine's plans toward the development of a central bank digital currency called the Digital Peso.
This is a sign that most countries are trying to counter cryptocurrency effect by building digital version of their fiat currency.
What is your opinion on this ?

The Indian central banker too had formed a panel or Committee to look into an "official" digital currency.
However, we have not seen much ground movement.
However, as a whole, the banking system in India is wary of Crypto and Digital currencies.
This could also be perhaps the scene in Philippines.
