CBDC simply means Central Bank Digital Coin. Coindesk revealed that the Dan Schulman who is the Paypal CEO made it known that the company has the capability to be a distributor of the CBDC because they have lots of digital wallets that will be able to holds those coins . He said they will be digitally useful just like what the private Physical banks are to the central bank.
He said they will be into tokenization and smart contracts very soon.

Good they also have plans of standing as a bank and offering digital curency ,the main issue is that they might not provide. The service to other countries as well
