One of the major forms of payment for most online sites is the use of PayPal, and there are many that continue to use this method of payment. However, with the fast growth of the cryptoworld there are also many that have turned to crypto and have left PayPal behind. Fortunately, PayPal has addressed this issue, and is now offering users to buy and sell crypto, such as bitcoin through their PayPal accounts.

With this approval by PayPal, over the next few weeks this is expected to be adopted in the US, and over the course of next year this is expected to move globally. This is an incredible way to bridge the gap between PayPal and crypto. In fact it is expected that in 2021, users with PayPal accounts will be able to pay with crypto and other merchants as well.

Indeed this is good news and it will go alot better if this will also open up the restrictions of PayPal to some countries like mine , so that we can benefit from this

Bitcoin price has raised to 13k after Paypal accepted cryptocurrency.

This is Google's current statistic -

And I lost the raise for not purchasing when it was 10k, it is 30% loss.
Cryptocurrency cannot be ignored, it is the future, Paypal is now in talks with Crypto firms to buy a firm for itself.

I hope so as well. I think that the use of crypto in the paypal platform will make it much more global, because even if paypal is not available in a country and crypto is, you should at least be able to use crypto through paypal.

Bill Harris (former CEO of PayPal) Described Bitcoin as the "Greatest Scam Ever" , now under Daniel Schulman (who admitted of having Bitcoins in 2019) PayPal is ready to accept BTC.

I was checking more about it and found out that, many crypto holders are against PayPal's inclusion. Satoshilabs already objected to PayPal's cryptocurrency and warned investor's of losing the privacy and decentralization.

Am not surprised by reading this because I know that there is more to this announcement . I just pray that things will be taken care of so that this issue doesn't affect users

PayPal do have centralization, if users use PayPal for BTC or other crypto, their activities will be recorded.
It is up to the users to use PayPal or not, people just have to understand all points.
From my side, it is fine to use paypal for selling, but not for buying.

I don't see any reason why it is not fine to use PayPal to buy Crypto currencies in the same platform when cash back feature is available in case of any issue

I don't also see any difference between buying using PayPal and selling using PayPal . The common thing there is that PayPal will have a role to play in the transaction which may not favour the user .

PayPal is only there to co-ordinate the activities of buying, conversion and selling and to also make it money from the transaction fees to be charged on activites. It is more like an exchange platform but already with huge subscribers .

Yeah . In my earlier comments in either this thread or similar thread , I pointed out that buying cryptocurrency with PayPal may be more demanding as the user will have to pay two transactions fee , one from PayPal and the other for gas fee

There is no how any body trying to buy Crypto currencies using e-currencies or local currency won't pay double transaction fee so this is normal.

PayPal has been one of the best but I think they need to make most of the access easy, I remember having problem connecting my bank details getting errors and still the same uptill now.
There might be cases of depositing without reflecting, this will cause more damage than expected
They can easily work on their system to be more efficient because it will be handling more transactions of different dimension now .

This is a very impressive development, I can imagine how much ease it will bring to people who transact with paypal. If this is fully adopted globally, I see more and more people opting to paypal in the future.
Another good part of it is that some people who are prohibited from using Crypto currencies can easily keep then on PayPal wallet since it is reliable.

I am very impressed with this update that you can buy and sell crypto on PayPal account ,I will go and check the update on my PayPal account to see the changes

Obviously, Paypal losing clients against Bitcoin and other forms of payments and want them back using Paypal, by adding this feature. We will see if people fall for this or not. Good luck Paypal! :Hilarious:

Yes I have read this news. In the recent interview with PayPal President and CEO the plan to serve a new virtual currency like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin will be launched sometimes in 2021.

For me, this is a good news for I have been using PayPal as my money processor for 9 years already. Now I'm interested to work on cryptocurrency.

Indeed dear friend. In this regard, I read that just yesterday, the first cryptocurrency exchange was made on Paypal platform.
However, I have noticed that already now, here in Italy, to log in, it is also necessary for me to authenticate via SMS security code, sent to my cell phone.
Greetings.
