Definitely, traffic is very important and necessary in any kind of online business you are doing.

This is what we call "targeted traffic." Google algorithm usually does that so that people who are promoting their products on facebook can reach their target audience and easily get sales.

It's a rather bad example of targeted traffic by the way. Google or similar companies often bring annoying results. For example, when I searched for a graphic card, suddenly all ads targeted to me are about graphic cards. It doesn't matter whether I'm just curious, for research purposes, or I really need a new GPU, my page will be full of GPU ads that are useless for two other cases. The best example of targeted traffic is when your channel/website/podcast etc., is about diet and fitness, and then you promote a protein shaker brand. It's a good example of actionable targeted ads since it's not about search history, but about interest. Your audience is likely to need that protein shaker.

Yes, keyword is very important and necessary if you want to get traffic. There are specific things people are searching for in a particular country and if you want to get traffic from that country you need to apply those keywords.

As a blogger you need to find something that is not very much competitive and difficult to rank.
