This Statistics was made known by University of Cambridge after their 3rd Global cryptoasset benchmarking study.

As at 2018 , the total number stood at 35 million users but with the year 2020 , the statistics has skyrocket 3 times to reach 101 cryptocurrency users globally

Wow this shows how the use of crypto currency is getting more awareness , well am very sure it might even be more than that since most people do p2p trading

This is wonderful that is about 200% increase in the number of users, the pandemic is obviously a fuel that propel this number, let see how the number will be next year.

I feel we can even lookout for a higher number than this as the year runs out. Many people have been opting for cryptocurrencies as they spend more time on the internet due to the pandemic.

This is good news!!! Very soon cryptocurrencies will be adopted globally take over our currencies and the whole world will be full of crypto related issues even the iliterates will understand how it works .

Yeah, and then governments all over the world will kill crypto since it's destabilizing the world economy since fiat no longer useful. And how can you expect people who can't read to use crypto? They'll be sending their crypto to wrong address all the time since they can't even read.

Lol. You are right in pointing that out. Well, I'd support both currencies existing side by side and surely not crypto wiping out fiat.

Crypto currencies can't wipe fiat currencies except we won't be using paper money again and everything will now be cashless transaction which I don't think will be convinient for illetrates.

Yeah, people!e tend to forget that we have a world outside the internet that a handful number of people there have no idea what a cashless transaction is.

If Fiat currencies and Crypto currencies are used interchangeably it will be better and it will provide means of livelihood to people who willl take advantage of trading them.

Yeah . My only concern is that Defi projects can take away some investors from Bitcoin because it offers them something more that Bitcoin can offer

You may be right or wrong but I think investors may develop a shared interest to Defi projects but not entirely away from bitcoin. Bitcoin seems too solid for that IMO.

Well , is possible that they will share both Interest but considering that the defi project is new and has shown more profit potential than Bitcoin , things may not be same for Bitcoin again

Bro, check the strategy oo. Now there is no iliterate when it comes to money matters. They will even be taking greater advantage than some of the literates that are not really smart.

Seriously, how can they beat people who can read if they can't even read? Strategy needs in-depth understanding of a filed, in this case - crypto. In order to do that people need to study it, mostly by reading, and if they can't read they won't be able to understand most things.

Take into consideration those people who have never seen what a computer looks like or even a smartphone. How are they supposed to know the complexities involved in the use of Cryptocurrencies not to talk of outsmarting anyone?

I understand the point you are trying to make friend. But if even bitcoin should be legalised world wide, at least there will be some mass education to educate people about the bitcoin and some activities involved in the bitcoin.

The more users, the greater the market capitalization, the way we go, the probability that BTC will reach prices above 100K is very likely.
This is what it suppose to be a d what we expect it to be but there is concern with the new Defi projects which may seem to be an obstacle towards the growth of cryptocurrency.

Many people over 40 years of age resist change, it is difficult for them to learn new things because they have already become accustomed to a method, therefore that an illiterate person in the crypto ecosystem has greater power than a literate person, it is impossible.

DEFI projects are advantageous, the detail is to know the project in which you invest. Why do you say that DEFIs can drive away certain investments?
