Instead of using notepad++ to code, could you use Notepad to code? What file extension could you save your work in, for example I was coding in HTML? Has anyone coded in Notepad before?

if my memory was right, if you write code in HTML and you should save it with .htm extension, for example "helloworld.htm" and change the encoding to UTF-8. im sorry my last html program / project was in my colleges days. lol

Notepad it's like Notepad++ just with some features and all the same way to save .htm or .html but the both are traditionals, so there are some programs better than those, one of them is Sublime Text 3 for me is the best, i recommend it for you.

I have no problem to use Notepad to code but I prefer to use an advanced program like Notepad++, If you want to save your work with notepad just follow this small basic tutorial. :D

1-Name your file and put your desired file extension (.php, .html ...etc).
2-Make sure to use "All files (*.*) so notepad will never add ".txt" after your filename.
3-Optional I use UTF-8 to avoid errors related to some symbols and special chars.

I think notepad++ is the best for coders, I'm not a developer or coder but few days ago in a seminar of web design I get to learn more about HTML,JAVA script and so on.

It leads to more of issues with the notepad due to lack of support for the unicode stuff. It's very much plain text editor. and that's something we want to avoid. because having the code which can be having errors saving some specific code has it's set of the issues. you can see that visual studio code on the other hand is lot better. you just have to understand that visual studio code requires some level of learning though.

I think visual studio code is not bad. it is on the way to become one good tool like the sublime text. and it may soon be able to be popular enough for many ways. I don't think they would be able to replace notepad plus plus. but it is good enough to get the most of the things done. also the notepad made by the microsoft is free and so does the visual studio code. so it's not bad to see it as good usage option.

You could use Notepad to create HTML page but its a little bit difficult when it comes to aligning and reading your codes especially if you have written more than thousand lines of codes. I recommend using Sublime Text rather than Notepad. In Sublime Text, you can change the background of the code editor to make it easy for you to code. It has an IntelliSense feature that displays the list of html elements as you type in the opening that and automatically adds the closing tag. You can hide portion of codes by so you can work properly on the part that you are coding or editing. There are other editor that you can use such as Aptana, Notedpadd++, DreamWeaver, and even Eclipse. But for me I really enjoy using Sublime Text.

Yes, you can use notepad in coding, but it will be harder since it don't have features to ease your coding. You can use sublime if you want. If you really prefer notepad, you can save your HTML code as .htm or .html

I have been using notepadd++ to code in. I have been coding in css++ and html. How long does it take to be confident with a learn a coding language such as CSS+, is it just practise and lots of learning?

It depends on you. Yes, you will learn through practice, you can try creating your own website using free hosting sites. Then once you are confident with your skills, you can then buy your own domain. You can then earn using your website

if you will make a simple or basic html code then you can use a simple notepad then save your work with. htm or. html, but for the more complex code notepad++ is perfect for you.
