Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this kind of question. Anyway, I'm wondering why a lot of people, don't want to use referral links. A lot ask for non-referral links on social network or reddit, quora then go to Google and search for referral codes anyway. So, how to make them interested in signing up under ref links?

Yeah its really strange thing !Because they dont loose anything ,they dont pay aff com from they money ! the site paying for it. Its normal thing because all we which are making this ,we put a lot of resources , time and nerves, to find the best platforms for others and is normal to get some litlle percent for that.OF course we are not perfect , but we are just humans .

personally my problem with it is when there is someone posting about a scam that only pays referrals but if it's legit then i use his referral link as (thank you because you introduced this to me)
and it's not just scam sites or apps but also the ones with so little earnings on your own and to make any profit you need people to sign under you
if you noticed in like 2017 almost all the mobile games channels on youtube started sharing apps that offers surveys and such as a mean of gaining points then you can exchange them for gift cards and they were really paying but the earnings were very low that you would need months to get a 10$ gift card but because a lot of people signed under those youtubers the youtubers were making money real fast but their referrals didn't get much in return. this kind of ref. i call it scam although the apps really pay but months to get a 10$ gift card... just why?
my problem with this is most of these youtubers introduced these apps as an earning opportunity not as a way to support them.

There are mainly two reasons why this happen:
1) There's no incentive joining as a referral
2) Promoter is not putting enough effort

From my perspective, I wouldn't join if there's nothing for me. Sure, promoter enjoys my earnings but I don't receive anything in return so why should I bother?

That's why the site or whatever service is out there has to properly market their referral links to benefits both sides so people don't treat the reflinks as a one-way interaction.
