The central bank of the Netherlands has imposed a new law where it stated that bitcoin exchanges need to be more strict and track all transactions to make sure it's safe and secure. This means that users must verify that they own the wallet and not someone else. They must also answer a few questions of why they are actually buying bitcoins. People have expressed their frustration over this new law and I don't like it either. What do you guys think?

To mitigate against fraudulent activities I think it is a good idea for exchanges to track transactions on their platforms, but going forward I think this should be done privately and in such a way that traders are not bothered with the the security of the exchange, traders are the customers and should be made to feel comfortable not pestered.

I think the laws been made are to prevent fraud only that some Netherland residents do register on those exchange sites without use of kyc and they dont have kyc, maybe that was why they were angry

i wouldn't call it strict, these rules are a must to guarantee everyone's right, people either accept these rules or not complain when they get hacked or get scammed

Well, we need to look at the bigger picture even if we do not like it let do it for our own good. It will help give us good level of security which is the whole essence

Security is the whole essence here I don't see reasons why people should be against it. It is even for the good of users. So I'm all for it

the law kinda contradicts the anonymity feature of bitcoin and it's quite a hassle for some to first answer questions before they can buy especially those who quickly wants to buy to take advantage of the price
