Hi all, I would like to ask for advice as I know there are many experts here when it comes to websites, domains and internet marketing.
I have this website I paid and created last year and it's due for renewal this coming April 19:

https://jetosph.com - JET Online Shop Ph

It's an online shop which I thought would be useful for me to use for selling my items. It also has a blog in it.
After I have done the site, I realize that I earn more in other e-commerce sites such the local Shopee.ph and from my Facebook.
Basically, the site is not earning because I focused on Shopee and didn't give it much attention.
I need advice from experts here:
1. Should I renew the site hosting and domain or not?
2. Can I find ways to revise the website such as posting articles and do affiliate marketing on it?
3. Would it be better to keep the domain and have it parked? Will it earn better that way? Can it pay the annual domain renewals?
4. Is there any other way that I can earn from the site such as selling it, but then it doesn't have income so will it work?
I appreciate any response and thank you very much to all.
More power to BeerMoneyForum.com!!

Obviously you couldn't make money from the site cos you were not committed to using the site compare to others. The decision taken is solely dependent n financial capacity. If you buoyant enough I will suggest you hold it for a while before doing thst

Thank you very much for the reply @Holdings.
Yes, it's about financial capacity. I am not willing to keep it if I don't have ideas on how I could improve it because as an online store, it's too hard to market it considering the competition. People in my country prefer other ecommerce sites such as Shopee and Facebook because they are more accessible (Facebook) and Shopee offers free shipping. I think I just need more advice on how I can revise or improve my website in such a way that it can earn. Would a blog be better and I put google adsense and affiliate links on it? Which niche would be good?
Thanks again.

Blog will be a nice idea though your commitment is still paramount for it survival, as for the niche you could try niches like sports, games, fitness or crypto currencies. You also consider what the people around your region will love to search or a blog so as to easily get traffic for adscence eligibility

If 1 year passed and you did not have time for it is better to let this go and focus on what's working for you now.

2. Can I find ways to revise the website such as posting articles and do affiliate marketing on it?
eCommerce and selling online requires a budget for advertising or intensive search engine optimization for long tail keywords, the competitition is very high in such niches.
. Would it be better to keep the domain and have it parked?
You will earn ZERO if the domain has no TRAFFIC!

You have already invested money on domain and hosting. Therefore, you need to think about ways to get better ROI. If you are not using the site for yourself because you are already earning more on other places, you can still renew the domain and hosting and continue to market your site so that you can find buyers for your website.

Didnt seem like a good idea to either park it or renew it, sorry but it dont seem that nice domain nor u will benefit good from parking it, u can use advertising as Google adsense to get some earn from visitors but u will lose from keeping it generally

If you are not really interested in this site and investing time and money it is better to let it go. You don't need to keep throwing money into the site if you don't want to pay for advertising it and working on it.

Thanks very much @Binu. I guess it's hard to depend on the site as a store so I am thinking of letting it go.

That's a nice suggestion @rjoaquin , thanks... i appreciate it a lot. :)

I don't think keeping the domain is a good idea, since you don't earn any transaction from it. But if you want to keep the domain, you can transform it into a landing page for your business, not a shop.

If you want a hand for designing the landing page, you may PM me :D

From your post you have already identify your problem, you neglected the shop one while focusing your attention to others. My advice is keep it and devote some of your time on it.
