You should have even stated what the business is all about. This will attract more people to you. But you need to becareful while choosing partners, some may be active first and later become passive. Do you mean that you started a business with random online friends and ended up getting cheated? I am not sure if it is a good idea to start random business with strangers. having said that, this is also one of the biggest reasons why I prefer sole proprietorship based business over partnership.

No they weren't strangers , they were from acquintances of a close friend who told that they are trustworthy but the reality they were not , I blame my friend so much after then but I just decide to let it go and learn my lesson very well , and I appreciate your point that you prefer sole proprietorship .

Two good head is better than one so if you actually want to make money through partnership business then you must chose a good partner that is honest I beleive that if you have a good partner to run your business with then such business must be in a good standing mode.

Some partner dont just worth it some of them may bring down your business to be honest,so when chosing a partner you need to be well selective so you wont make great mistake and regreat at the end of the day.
