MyLot is a weblog site that allows anyone worldwide to join this site. Here you have an account that you can write up different posts that are displayed on the site. The site allows you to write up a variety of different topics, but it does have a few restrictions on what you write about. Like all types of writing sites like this, you can't attack another person, harass anyone, or do any type of trolling on the site. The site also forbids any type of racist comments, posting any type of adult content, you can only write your content in English, they do ask you to make sure you spell all the words correctly in your content, and there is no posting any type of mild stones such as birthdays or even anniversaries.

How Does It Work?

• You need to be at least 13 years of age or older to join this site.
• The site accepts members worldwide and the only restriction is that you are able to write in English and post content on the site that doesn't contain any misspelled words. So you will need to use some sort of spell checker to make sure you've spelled the words correctly before they are posted on the site.
• You can't have more than one account on the site.
• You'll need to have a PayPal account in order to be paid from the site. You'll need to enter this in your profile so the site can send you your payments.
• When you write up a new post for your account, they don't have a word count for you to follow. However, they do have certain rules you must follow when you write up your content.
• You'll be answering the other posts on the site and leaving your comments. When you leave a comment, they don't allow comments that have little to no value at all. You must leave a comment that goes with the discussion and adds value to this discussion.

How do You Earn Money?

This one is a bit complicated and a lot of people have a hard time following this and don't seem to understand it at all. You are not earning from what you do on the site. If you write up a new post on the site, you won't earn from this post. If you make a comment on the site, you won't earn from the comment you make. If you like a comment or even like a post, you won't earn from this.

However, you will earn from:

• A person leaving a comment on your post.
• A person liking your post.
• Anytime a person interacts with you, you'll earn money from the site.
• If you leave a comment on another topic, the person likes your comment or answers you back, you'll earn money from the interaction the person made.
• The money you earn from the site is calculated by an algorithm and it is hard to determine how much you are really earning from this site.
• The site only pays you when a person responds, likes, or interacts with something you've done on the site. You are not earning from posting any content on the site.
• This is a site that was designed for interaction and the better your content, the more people who read this, respond to it or even like it, the more you can earn from the site.
• Even if you don't work on the site or visit the site for several months, the content you've posted on the site can still earn you an income. If you have posted a great discussion and people still visit this discussion and comment on the discussion, you are still earning from this discussion.

How Are You Paid?

You must have at least $5 in your account by the close of the last day of the month. The closing time is determined by the site's location and not your location.

On or around the 15th of the following month, the site has a payday where they send out the earning to each person on the site as long as you have the minimum balance in your account.

You must have a PayPal account ID on your profile in order to be paid by the site. There are people who don't add their PayPal ID and just let the funds in their account grow. When they are ready to be paid, they will go to their profile and add their PayPal ID.

I worked on this site for several months. It does take a lot of work and you need to be very active on this site if you want to earn money there. I was paid more than once from the site. I did find out if you are very active, have a lot of followers, receive a lot of comments, you can earn around $20 to $30 a month. However, you'll be spending around 8 hours a day on this site in order to earn that kind of money. Most people earn around $3.50 to $7 a month working on this site.

It's not really that you have to 'post a lot' as much as it is you need to makes posts that entice lots of people to interact with them, since you get paid for the interaction you receive, not for what you yourself do.

All the same, since it technically is not an 'earning site' you shouldn't expect to get much there.

It shouldn't get deleted since it is a review of the site without a ref link and not what would be considered an 'advertisement'. We're allowed to talk about our experiences with other sites.

Lot of patience and time is required. There is a field in website where you get notified about the replies you get for the posts. There is extra earning for adding pictures along with the post. Most of them are friendly there. There are some people who will be rude but not a problem , will settle eventually. Recently , they have some other ways like surveys, small tasks to earn extra. I have tried few but they are tedious. All together, it is a good place to spend some time. If making is the main motto then it is the place where you have to be working in.

There is not 'extra earning' for adding pictures there. myLot does not pay you for any actions you make, but for the interaction you receive from other users, so you adding a photo to a discussion has nothing to do with how much you earn for people interacting with you.

I know there are some people who are there for ten years. When I was a new there, they said they dont know how much is paid for what job but you can try to find out. I posted once earned something and next time when I posted I added a picture related to the post. Then got more. That's when I found out that picture do add value. If you want or if you dont believe me , you can try once and see.

I have been there 11 years, since October 16th 2006. You do not earn for anything you post there, period. You earn for the responses, comments, and likes you GET from other users and not for anything else. You do NOT get paid anything to post, with or without a photo.

You probably got more interactions, because photos tend to attract people.
If someone isn't interested in the text, they can always comment the photo. It happens to me.
The amount you earn isn't fixed, it also depends on ad revenues, if it was fixed it could not always be sustainable.

I have not much earned as of yet. Still on 1.2. But it seems like I have to post a lot on their site now. So that it can add up. BUt considering the amoutn of threads I have to post to earn that amount. i guess I have to split the time on BMF and the mylot. So yeah hoping that i can reach atleast 4$ per month as well. So if this works out it can be possible to work on small projects out there.

I am actually prioritizing BMF over myLot because of the limit of posting. I will do myLot when I am done posting in different communities, and when I have spare time. I am not thinking of earning there now. Just interacting and socializing. In fact, I am at $1.4 yesterday, and still at $1.4 bracket now.

I'm not ready to discuss about money so much, the limited number of posts doesn't affect me because I don't have all these threads about one specific topic to start everyday.
BMF and MyLot are quite different over all, I would never compare them in any case.

We call it gibberish. We are not going to pay for gibberish! People can GO to myLot if they accept such type of content.

I agree with you that Mylot is totally different from BMF because this website is more on earning money, thus speaks to its name. I prefer here though than Mylot when it comes to earning. But Mylot is for my socializing. My money rarely moves there actually, but I am staying.

I just think that BMF is totally different on Mylot. Honestly, I was also worried seeing lots of gibberish comments here even to the point that I reported some. I don't think that posts in Mylot are gibberish though because it is for general discussion and a social blogging site.

MyLot doesn't accept useless/meaningless content either, but it isn't a niche forum like BMF.
Well, you either go for extra moderation, approving each post or deleting all the useless ones you spot, or you set a daily limit. And the latter looks easier to be done, it takes less resources at the very least.
Then the community has an impact, on myLot if we see gibberish, we immediately hit the report button.

Actually myLot doesn't pay for gibberish either, really. Since they get paid for the interaction received, and not their own actions (even though many users can't seem to understand that point), gibberish...which most users aren't going to bother interacting with (not to mention most of us will report it to get it removed)...isn't going to do anything for them, therefore they are not going to earn for it.

But I see your point...since you pay for the actions, people would try to get by with it here.

I'll probably never get close to even 'bumping' the limit here, so it doesn't bother me being 'limited'. I try to say something worth saying...if it ain't worth saying, I don't want to waste the time posting it.

You earned $3 on PayPal? By the way, does myLot lowered the minimum? All I know is the minimum payout is $5. Having below than that won't get you paid, unless you will reach $5 the next month.

For a few months last year the payout threshold was temporarily lowered to $1, they cashed out $3 then

Last year they don't have minimum payout I think. I was a bit shocked when I open my paypal. I thought it was a scam. The site is very legit.

It was only for two months, they lowered it to $1 for April and May of 2016, then went to $5. Before that the minimum was $10.
