I felt the same thing when I joined PayPal. With my Bitcoin wallet, I felt even skeptical because they asked to scan my ID, as well as a selfie with my ID. But I did, and enjoying the benefits of using the Bitcoin wallet because of no charge sending the money to my bank.

By the way, it depends on the Bitcoin wallet you will use. I am using coins.ph, designed for Filipinos. If you have the same in India, then try that. There are lots of Bitcoin wallets you can try to.
I joined one but i am feared a bit so i didn't completed the formalities as yet. I still need to update my bank account details and my Pan card.
With my Bitcoin wallet, you don't have to verify it with your bank account. But there is ID and selfie verification. Though, I believe it is legitimate. In fact, I can pay bills and buy cellphone loads through the Bitcoin wallet.

Don't worry you'll be provided with the PayPal cash only and it's the way we are getting paid. With bitcoins it was just a coincident if we can say that and also the generosity of Mr.B the admin here, as he paid some users but it's not documented anywhere and you can get paid with PayPal cash only.
Me too, I am more content with PayPal and its good for me and others as well. I am still not aware about the Bitcoins and haven't even joined any website which pays with that.
